Wood has been ramping up his workload and was hopeful that he would be able to get back to the court for Game 3, but the medical staff will hold him out for at least one more game. His next chance to play will come Saturday.

Vanderbilt (foot) won't play in Thursday's game against the Nuggets, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Vanderbilt was highly involved in the Lakers' shootaround Monday and appears to be nearing his first taste of game action since Feb. 1. However, he'll still be inactive for Thursday's Game 3, making Saturday's Game 4 Vanderbilt's next chance to go.

James (ankle) is listed as probable for Thursday's Game 2 against Denver, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
James has been listed as probable for each of the first two games of the series but has averaged 39.5 minutes per contest. Considering he's looked to be 100 percent in both games and has been an injury report mainstay this season, fantasy managers should expect James to be available Thursday.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Probable for Thursday
Davis (back) is probable for Thursday's Game 3 matchup with the Nuggets, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Davis played through the back issue during Game 2 and logged 39 minutes on his way to a 32-point, 11-rebound double-double, so it clearly didn't impact him all that much. We should get official confirmation on his status closer to Thursday's tip.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Leads Lakers in Game 2 defeat
Davis ended Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals with 32 points (14-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 39 minutes.
Davis has led the Lakers in scoring in each of the first two games of the series, but despite producing back-to-back 30-plus point efforts in the matchup against Nikola Jokic, the Lakers have fallen short of victory both times. Davis will likely land on the injury report ahead of Game 3, but given the situation and the workload he's handled in the first two games of the series, the star big man shouldn't have problems being active for Game 3 on Thursday.

Lakers' LeBron James: Sniffs triple-double in loss
James ended with 26 points (9-19 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, 12 assists, two blocks and two steals over 38 minutes during Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
James finished just two rebounds shy of a triple-double Monday, and even though the 39-year-old forward is competing at a high level, it seems the Lakers keep falling short against Denver. James has recorded at least 25 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the first two games of the series, and he should continue to have a high usage rate during Game 3 on Thursday.

Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Shows improvement in Game 2
Russell logged 23 points (8-16 FG, 7-11 3Pt), three rebounds and six assists across 39 minutes during Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Russell delivered a much-improved effort compared to Game 1 when he notched 13 points while shooting poorly from the field (6-20 FG, 1-9 3Pt). However, his strong contributions were not enough Monday, as the Lakers wasted a 20-point lead and lost the game on a buzzer-beater from Jamal Murray. Nonetheless, the uptick in efficiency is nice to see from Russell, who should have a pivotal role on offense in Thursday's decisive Game 3.

Head coach Darvin Ham noted in his pregame press conference that the team will wait to see how Vanderbilt responds Tuesday before determining his next steps toward a return. Vanderbilt hasn't played since Feb. 1 due to a right mid-foot sprain.
