Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Remains out Friday
Williams (shoulder) will not take the floor Friday versus the Rockets.
Williams has averaged just 4.7 minutes in his 11 appearances for Memphis this season anyway, so his absence shouldn't be felt from a fantasy standpoint. Williams' next opportunity to clear the injury report arrives Sunday in Atlanta.

Grizzlies' Ziaire Williams: Won't play Friday
Williams (foot) will miss Friday's game versus the Rockets.
Williams' foot soreness popped up on the injury report Wednesday upon his return to the team, suggesting he's up to get some treatment from the parent organization. It's unclear how long Williams will be sidelined, but he's not expected to be much of a factor for the Grizzlies, even when healthy.

Grizzlies' Jake LaRavia: Headed to G League
The Grizzlies assigned LaRavia to the Memphis Hustle of the G League on Thursday.
LaRavia has played only three minutes for the Grizzlies since Mar. 3. The rookie forward should receive more opportunities with the Hustle in the G League.

Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Dishes out seven assists Wednesday
Bane finished Wednesday's 130-125 win over the Rockets with 20 points (6-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and one steal in 35 minutes.
Even with Ja Morant playing 24 minutes off the bench in his return from a nine-game absence due to a suspension and for conditioning purposes, Bane was able to retain a key playmaking role. He tied with starting point guard Tyus Jones for the team lead in assists, though both Bane and Jones are likely to notice some downturn in the category once Morant steps back into the starting five and reclaims his usual minutes. Bane averaged 5.1 assists while Morant was sidelined the past nine games after previously averaging 4.0 per game for the season prior to that stretch.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Returns with solid line off bench
Morant (suspension/conditioning) supplied 17 points (6-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 130-125 victory over the Rockets.
Though Morant wasn't returning from any type of injury, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins still chose to ease the star point guard back into the mix by bringing him off the bench with a minute restriction in his return from a nine-game absence. While playing on the second unit for the first time in his career, Morant looked like his usual self. While Morant may come off the bench for another game or two while he steadily climbs back to his season-long average of 32.3 minutes, fantasy managers can activate him with confidence again.

Grizzlies' Jaren Jackson: Pours in season-high 37 points
Jackson produced a season-high 37 points (14-20 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-11 FT) to go with 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 130-125 win over the Rockets.
Jackson stepped up big time while Ja Morant missed the previous nine games, and even though the star point guard returned to action in a bench role Wednesday, Jackson didn't let off the gas. Over the last 10 games, Jackson is averaging 24.1 points, 6.9 boards, 1.9 blocks, 1.7 three-pointers, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals while converting at a 53.5 percent rate from the field.

Grizzlies' David Roddy: Starting Wednesday
Roddy will enter the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Rob Fischer of Bally Sports Southeast reports.
Roddy will be filling in for the suspended Dillon Brooks, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Tyus Jones, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Xavier Tillman. In his previous two starts this season, Roddy registered 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Will come off bench Wednesday
Morant will come off the bench in his return for Wednesday's game versus the Rockets, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.
Morant is likely being brought off the bench in an effort to conserve his minutes as he works on getting his conditioning back, so he's a somewhat risky target in daily fantasy leagues. Per Rob Fischer of Bally Sports Southeast, he's expected to log minutes in the low 20s to begin, but that should still be enough floor time for him to put up a useful stat line in most season-long settings. Head coach Taylor Jenkins said that Morant might come off the bench for the next few games, which could help Tyus Jones sustain some low-end value while he maintains his starting role.

Grizzlies' Ziaire Williams: Returns to NBA, out Wednesday
The Grizzlies recalled Williams from the Memphis Hustle of the G League on Wednesday, but he will be listed as out for Wednesday's game versus the Rockets due to right foot soreness.
Williams is averaging 5.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.7 minutes across 36 games for the Grizzlies this season. His next chance to suit up will be Friday's rematch with Houston.

Grizzlies' Ziaire Williams: Paces team on scoreboard
Williams logged 26 points (8-20 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 27 minutes during Saturday's 114-87 win over the Vipers.
Williams was assigned to the G League ahead of Saturday's matchup, and he was dominant in his return to the Hustle. He's scored at least 20 points in three of his last five G League appearances and should remain heavily involved if he stays with the Hustle for the final week of the regular season.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Off injury report for Wednesday
Morant (conditioning/suspension) isn't included on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Rockets.
Head coach Taylor Jenkins relayed earlier in the day Tuesday that Morant is expected back in action against the Rockets, and the injury report for the contest further confirms that outcome. However, it's worth noting that Morant suggested he's willing to come off the bench as he works on reconditioning following a multi-week absence, so his workload may be initially restricted.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Should play, may come off bench
Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said Tuesday that he anticipates Morant (conditioning/suspension) to play in Wednesday's game against the Rockets, but the point guard has told the team he's willing to come off the bench as he works his way back to 100 percent, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Morant met with the media Tuesday for the first time since his NBA-issued eight-game suspension and discussed the steps he's taken to focus on his mental health during his time away from the team. He admitted being uncomfortable on the bench during Monday's win over Dallas, but he's committed to the plan the Grizzlies have in place for him and understands it may be a process for him to get back to where he was before the Instagram Live incident. If Morant does operate off the bench for a few games, Tyus Jones would presumably remain in the starting lineup and be a must-start player after averaging 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds with 51/40/79 shooting splits over the last nine games with Morant unavailable.

Grizzlies' Tyus Jones: Goes 7-for-10 from field in win
Jones finished Monday's 112-108 win over the Mavericks with 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six assists, two rebounds and one steal in 35 minutes.
After piling up 24 assists over his previous two games, Jones took a step back in that area Monday, but the efficiency he displayed from the field helped to make up for it. Jones has been a roster-worthy player in nearly every format for the past two weeks with averages of 16.3 points, 8.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 33.7 minutes in his nine games since ascending to a starting role, but his fantasy value is likely to take a significant hit as soon as Wednesday against the Rockets. Ja Morant is likely to return from his suspension to unseat Jones on the top unit Wednesday, but with Dillon Brooks in line to sit out the contest while serving a one-game ban, Jones may still be needed to fill minutes off the ball alongside Morant.

Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks: Facing one-game suspension
Brooks picked up his 18th technical foul of the season in Monday's 112-108 win over the Mavericks, triggering an automatic one-game suspension unless the NBA elects to rescind the foul, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. He tallied nine points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, four rebounds and one steal in the win.
Brooks drew his NBA-leading 18th technical with 7:26 remaining in the third quarter when officials whistled him for taunting after a dunk. It's the latest in a long line of infractions for Brooks, who was already suspended for a March 5 loss to the Clippers after picking up his 16th technical of the season in the Grizzlies' preceding contest. The 27-year-old was also fined $35,000 after shoving a camera person in a March 15 loss to the Heat. With Brooks now in line to miss Wednesday's game against the Rockets, the Grizzlies will be without their top perimeter defender and one of their top secondary scoring options, but his loss should be offset to some degree by the potential return of Ja Morant, who has completed his eight-game suspension and could be ready to play versus Houston if he's fully reconditioned.
