Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Ruled out Monday
Markkanen (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Kings, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
The Jazz play three more times this week after Monday's contest, so Markkanen's fantasy managers will hope for a quick recovery. With Markkanen out, Simone Fontecchio and Rudy Gay could step up for the Jazz. His absence also opens increased work for Kelly Olynyk, Ochai Agbaji and Talen Horton-Tucker.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Questionable Monday
Markkanen (back) is questionable for Monday's game against the Kings, Utah beat writer Ryan Miller reports.
Markkanen missed a game on March 5 with the back issue, and while he played in the next five games, it appears it's still giving him some trouble. He'll test how he's feeling at Monday's shootaround, but if he's not able to give it a go, that would open up minutes for Simone Fontecchio and Rudy Gay. Ochai Agbaji and Talen Horton-Tucker would also stand to see a bump in usage sans Markkanen.

Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Remains out Monday
Clarkson (finger) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Kings, Ryan Miller of KSL.com reports.
Clarkson continues to deal with a sprained finger and will be sidelined for a sixth consecutive game. Ochai Agbaji should continue to see increased run in his absence, while Kris Dunn and Johnny Juzang could also see a few extra minutes.

Jazz's Ochai Agbaji: Encouraging line in victory
Agbaji notched 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt), one rebound and three assists over 36 minutes during Saturday's 118-117 victory over the Celtics.
Agbaji put together a sold shooting performance, which was sorely needed amid Jordan Clarkson's (finger) absence. The highly touted Kansas product started the past eight games with mixed results, but Saturday's effort was the best stat line of the group. The slashing sharpshooter depends on success beyond the arc to pad his scoring, and although he's shot only 32.1 percent from downtown during his starting stint, his overall three-point percentage in his rookie season is about four points higher.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Swats shot to seal win
Kessler racked up 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-5 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 34 minutes during Saturday's 118-117 win over Boston.
Kessler blocked his third shot of the game in the final moments, denying Grant Williams a potential game-winner. The rookie cemented his role as Utah's starting center back in January, and he's recorded 13 double-doubles since taking over the job permanently. Kessler averages 2.3 blocks per game, good enough for fifth in the league, but he's averaged 2.9 swats per game over 26 games as a starter.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Scores team-high 28 points
Markkanen logged 28 points (10-23 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes during Saturday's 118-117 victory over the Celtics.
Markkanen played a key role in overcoming a 19-point deficit in the second half. The Arizona product has almost single-handedly propelled the Jazz into playoff contention, and his recent five-game run has been superb, save a poor shooting performance against the Hornets a week ago. Despite that subpar performance, Markkanen averaged 28.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists over his last five games.

Clarkson (finger) will not play in Saturday's game against the Celtics.
Clarkson will miss a fifth straight contest with a sprained finger despite logging a full practice Friday and initially being tabbed questionable. His absence will allow more opportunities for Ochai Agbaji, Johnny Juzang and Kris Dunn on Saturday. Clarkson's next chance to play will come Monday against the Kings.

Brantley was signed to a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
Brantley returns for his second term with the Jazz, spending two seasons as a two-way player for the franchise before joining the Australian National Basketball League for the 2022-23 campaign. Brantley averaged 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals this season in the NBL but will face an uphill battle to find playing time in Utah.

After a limited session Thursday, Clarkson was able to fully participate Friday and has a good chance to return Saturday from a four-game absence due to a left finger sprain.
