The Cardinals waived Mauro (hamstring) off injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Mauro signed a contract with the Cardinals in October of 2021 and, after three games, he landed on IR with a hamstring injury. Zach Allen likely will continue playing most of the defensive snaps for the Cardinals with Mauro off the team.... See More ... See Less

Cardinals' Josh Mauro: Lands on injured reserve
Mauro was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury Saturday. Mauro joined the Cardinals during the bye week and had five tackles and one sack in a rotational role over the past three games, but he'll now be sidelined for at least the next three contests. Zach Allen (ankle), fresh off injured reserve, should fill the vacated snaps for Arizona.... See More ... See Less -
Jaguars' Josh Mauro: Placed on COVID list
The Jaguars placed Mauro on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday. Mauro had his suspension lifted Monday and was expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Lions, but now he'll need to clear the NFL's COVID-19 protocols before returning to team activities.... Raiders' Josh Mauro: Appears in 13 games
Mauro had 19 tackles (11 solo) and one pass break up in 13 games this season. The 28-year-old was a solid depth option for the Raiders across the defensive line, seeing a total of 285 defensive and 26 special teams snaps. Mauro will hit free agency this offseason, and he could be playing for the fourth team of his career in 2020.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Josh Mauro: Won't play Week 13
Mauro (coach's decision) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Mauro has played just 31 total snaps the past two weeks for the Raiders, so this news isn't quite surprising. In his stead, look for Benson Mayowa and Dion Jordan to possibly see an uptick in depth defensive line reps.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Josh Mauro: Hit with groin injury
Mauro was forced out of Sunday's game against the Texans with a groin injury. Mauro made one tackle before leaving this contest in the first half. The 28-year-old defensive end has a consistent role on the Raiders' defense with at least 24 defensive snaps in every game. The Raiders will roll out Arden Key and Benson Mayowa behind starters Clelin Ferrell and Maxx Crosby as long as Mauro is out.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Josh Mauro: Dealing with injury
Mauro is dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss Thursday's preseason game against the Cardinals, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. It's unclear how Mauro picked up the injury, and the severity remains undisclosed. This is tough news for the Stanford product, considering he was just listed as the starting defensive end opposite Clelin Ferrell on the Raiders' depth chart last week. With Mauro sidelined, the door should open for Benson Mayowa and James Cowser to see more reps.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' Josh Mauro: Suspended for PED violation
Mauro has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances. Mauro, who remains eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games, could possibly have the suspension reduced if he chooses to appeal the decision. Assuming the suspension sticks, the Giants will now be approaching the 2018 season with even more concerns at defensive end, making it increasingly likely the team addresses the position via the upcoming draft.... Giants' Josh Mauro: Inks deal with Giants
Mauro signed with the Giants on Monday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports. Mauro spent the past four seasons in Arizona, where he racked up 75 combined tackles and two sacks over the course of 47 gamess. It's unclear how he'll fit in with New York, but the 27-year-old has ties to new Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher, who held the same position with the Cardinals from 2015 through 2017.... Cardinals' Josh Mauro: Questionable for Sunday
Mauro (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Mike Jurecki of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports. Mauro sat out practice to start the week but put in limited sessions Thursday and Friday to earn the questionable tag. The 26-year-old sprained his ankle in last Sunday's win over the Jaguars and will likely be a game-day decision for Week 13.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Josh Mauro: Suiting up Sunday
Mauro (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Mauro has just 18 tackles and one sack through 10 games, so fantasy owners likely won't feel the effects of his performance as much as the Cardinals do. His snap counts have been low all season too, and with a lingering high-ankle sprain, more of the same is to be expected.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Josh Mauro: Limited at Friday's practice
After a limited workload at Friday's practice, Mauro (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Mauro was unable to practice until Friday, so he does appear to be trending in the right direction. An absence Sunday would mark his first of the season. Olsen Pierre would presumably be in line to fill in at defensive end should the 26-year-old ultimately be unable to suit up.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Josh Mauro: Dealing with high-ankle sprain
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said that Mauro suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Texans and could miss some time, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. The Cardinals will wait and see how Mauro progresses during the week of practice, but at this juncture, it doesn't sound as though the team is optimistic about the lineman's chances of playing Week 12 against the Jaguars. With only 19 tackles and one sack through 10 games on the season, Mauro's potential absence would have more impact in real-life terms than in IDP leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals list Week 15 inactives vs. Rams Thursday
The Cardinals have listed the following players as inactive for Thursday's Week 15 matchup with the Rams: safety Tyrann Mathieu (thumb), guards Paul Fanaika (ankle) and Anthony Steen, defensive ends Josh Mauro and Kareem Martin, defensive tackle Alameda Ta'amu and linebacker Kenny Demens. Mathieu and Fanaika had been previously ruled out, while the team's other players on the final injury report are all active.... See More ... See Less -
