  • Ravens' Michael Pierce: Back on the field

Pierce (biceps), who finished last year on IR, has been spotted working out during Ravens' voluntary OTAs, Jonathan Alfano of Sports Illustrated reports. After opting out of the 2020 NFL season due to COVID concerns, the veteran defensive lineman appeared in just 11 games over the past two seasons with elbow and bicep injuries. Pierce told reporters that he's feeling healthy once again and on a mission to "...finish[ing] all 17 games, playoffs, all that," this upcoming season. The 6-foot, 340-pound defensive tackle has appeared in 71 games in his career for Baltimore and Minnesota, tallying 177 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.

  • Ravens' Kyle Hamilton: No limitations ahead of minicamp

Hamilton (wrist) said Tuesday that he feels great and has no limitations following surgery in March, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports. Hamilton underwent a minor procedure to address an issue in his wrist this offseason, but as expected, he's good to go ahead of mandatory minicamp. The 2022 first-round pick appeared in 16 regular-season contests as a rookie, totaling 62 tackles, two sacks and five pass defenses.

  • Ravens' Jalyn Armour-Davis: Limited in practice

Armour-Davis (hip) was limited in practice Thursday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner reports. Armour-Davis participated only in positional work, as the 23-year-old is still recovering from a hip injury suffered in November. With the Ravens currently lacking proven talent at corner behind Marlon Humphrey and Rock Ya-Sin, the 2022 fourth-round pick could find himself competing for ample playing time once healthy.

  • Daelin Hayes: Let go Monday

Hayes was waived by the Ravens on Monday, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Hayes' time in Baltimore was marred by injuries, which included missing the entire 2022 campaign due to an undisclosed injury. A fifth-round selection in the 2021 Draft, Hayes played just one game in his two seasons with the Ravens. He'll now seek a chance elsewhere.

  • Ravens' David Ojabo: Feels better than pre-Achilles tear

Ojabo said Wednesday that he's added 5-to-10 pounds of muscle this offseason and currently feels "more explosive" than he did before his Achilles tear in March 2022, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official website reports. Ojabo was widely projected as a first-round pick prior to the injury at his pro day last March and went 45th overall even with no expectation of rookie-year contributions. The linebacker made his NFL debut nine months after the injury but played only 23 defensive snaps in three appearances (including playoffs) over Baltimore's final five games. Ojabo did have a strip-sack on one of those snaps, Week 18 at Cincinnati, and he'll have every chance to earn a lot of playing time in 2023 after the Ravens relied on 30-something OLBs Justin Houston and Jason Pierre-Paul (both free agents as of mid-May) for 923 combined snaps last year. Odafe Oweh and Tyus Bowser are Baltimore's returning edge rushers with significant NFL experience, but the former has only eight sacks in 32 career games (1,249 snaps) and the latter 19.5 in 89 (2,443 snaps). In addition to his pass-rushing upside, Ojabo is plenty big enough to handle early down snaps, especially if he's now up to around 255-260 pounds (he weighed 250 at the 2022 Combine).

  • BoPete Keyes: Waived by Baltimore

Keyes was waived by the Ravens on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Keyes will head to waivers after spending time on the practice squads of Houston, Atlanta, and Baltimore. The 2020 seventh-round pick hasn't played in a game since 2021 and will try to find another opportunity with a new team.

  • Ravens' Brandon Stephens: Moving to safety

Stephens is expected to transition to the safety position this summer, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Stephens will be making the transition from cornerback to safety this offseason. The young defensive back is heading into his third year after being a Day 2 pick in the NFL Draft. His best season was his rookie year, when he started 11 games thanks to a litany of injuries to the team's secondary, totaling 78 tackles and four pass breakups. Last season, he started only four games for the Ravens, but he still accumulated seven pass deflections. Baltimore needs the depth at safety after trading Chuck Clark to the Jets during the offseason.

  • Ravens' Patrick Queen: Not getting fifth-year option

The Ravens declined Queen's fifth-year option Monday, Sarah Ellison of the team's official website reports. The 2020 first-round pick enjoyed a breakout of sorts in 2022 after mostly struggling his first two seasons, but it's no surprise the Ravens won't guarantee him a $12.7 million salary for 2024, especially after they traded for fellow inside linebacker Roqaun Smith last fall and then gave him a five-year, $100 million extension with $60 million paid out through the first three years. Queen actually played much better after the Ravens added Smith, ultimately finishing with career highs for tackles (117), sacks (five), QB hits (14), pass defenses (six) and interceptions (two). While his performance hasn't been consistent, Queen has started every game since the Ravens drafted him 28th overall in 2020. The team may have found his eventual replacement in 2023 third-rounder Trenton Simpson, a Clemson product who ran a 4.43 40-yard dash at 235 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine.

  • Ravens' Kyu Blu Kelly: Lands in Baltimore

The Ravens selected Kelly in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 157th overall. Kelly was a starter for all four of his seasons with Stanford, and he showed good instincts in coverage by breaking up 26 passes in his collegiate career. He measured well in the jumping drills at the combine, indicating a significant amount of burst that will help him as a pro. The Ravens already have a lot of talent in their cornerback room, but Kelly should immediately contribute on special teams.

  • Ravens' Tavius Robinson: More pass-rush help in Baltimore

The Ravens selected Robinson in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 124th overall. Baltimore has prized versatile edge rushers in past years, and the 6-foot-6 prospect from Ole Miss absolutely fits that bill. There's certainly room for Robinson to add additional weight (257 pounds) to his lanky frame, and he's rather raw compared to some of his peers as a pass rusher, but the Ravens have developed a litany of these types of players over the years. Expect him to grow into his role as a rotational pass rusher in the coming seasons.

  • Ravens' Trenton Simpson: Landed by Baltimore in third round

The Ravens selected Simpson in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 86th overall. It's not obvious why Simpson fell this far -- he seemed like a fine selection as high as the second round -- but this looks like a solid pick for Baltimore. The Clemson product has 4.43 speed at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, and in college he showed the ability to play the edge surprisingly well for a player of his frame, which is more commonly seen in off-ball linebackers. Simpson might be able to displace Patrick Queen in time.

  • Ravens' Kevon Seymour: Staying in Baltimore

Seymour re-signed with the Ravens on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Seymour will return to Baltimore, where he spent time on both the active roster and practice squad last season and logged three solo tackles in 14 games. During the 2022 campaign, the 2016 sixth-round pick played almost exclusively on special teams and should have a similar role this upcoming season as well.

  • Ravens' Kristian Welch: Re-signs with Baltimore

The Ravens re-signed Welch on Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Welch was originally an unrestricted free agent and despite not receiving a tender from Baltimore, the 24-year-old will still return to the team for next season. The 2020 undrafted free agent appeared in all 17 games last season logging three tackles (three solo) while playing almost exclusively on special teams. Welch should be expected to have a similar role next season as he'll look to once again add value as a special teamer.

  • Falcons' Calais Campbell: Linking up with Altanta

Campbell agreed Wednesday with the Falcons on a one-year contract, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports. Campbell's arrival will help boost Atlanta's revamped defense, as he joins other free-agency additions Jesse Bates, David Onyemata and Kaden Elliss. The 36-year-old veteran notched 5.5 sacks across 14 games with the Ravens in 2022, a total that would have ranked second on the Falcons behind Grady Jarrett. Now the NFL's oldest defensive lineman at 36 years old, Campbell's experience should help him remain productive even if he plays more of a rotational role in 2023.

  • Ravens' Del'Shawn Phillips: Sticking in Balitmore

Baltimore is expected to re-sign Phillips to a one-year deal Sunday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. The undrafted linebacker out of Illinois was a special-teams ace for the Ravens in 2022, posting five tackles (three solo) across 16 appearances. He saw only one snap on defense last year.

  • Ravens' Geno Stone: Going back to Baltimore

Stone re-signed with the Ravens on a one-year contract Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Stone made a career-high seven starts at safety as Marcus Williams dealt with a wrist injury in 2022. He will return in a depth role despite the Ravens previously choosing not to tender Stone as a restricted free agent.

  • Calais Campbell: Let go by Baltimore

The Ravens released Campbell on Monday. Campbell signed a two-year, $12.5 million deal ahead of the 2022 campaign and appeared in 14 games, totaling 36 tackles, two forced fumbles and 5.5 sacks -- his most since 2019. His release will clear some cap space for Baltimore and allow the veteran to find a new deal following his resurgent season. The 2008 second-round pick has played for three different teams (the Cardinals, Jaguars and Ravens) across 15 seasons and has recorded at least five sacks in 13 of those campaigns.

  • Jets' Chuck Clark: Traded to Gang Green

The Jets agreed Thursday to trade a 2024 seventh-round draft pick to the Ravens in exchange for Clark, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Clark will officially join New York's roster next Wednesday, when the new league year begins, while Baltimore receives roughly $3.6 million in cap space. The veteran safety is an extremely versatile defender, having taken additional snaps at cornerback and linebacker when needed for the Ravens last season, racking up a career-high 101 tackles. He has a clear path to earning a significant role in defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich's scheme during the 2023 campaign.

  • Ravens' Kyle Hamilton: Undergoes wrist surgery

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed Wednesday that Hamilton recently underwent wrist surgery, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Hamilton is without a precise timeline for his recovery from surgery, but Harbaugh noted that the safety is expected to be fully healthy by the start of the summer. Aside from missing a Week 12 game due to a knee injury, the 2022 first-round pick otherwise enjoyed a healthy rookie campaign, playing in each of Baltimore's other 16 regular-season contests while logging 62 tackles, two sacks and five pass breakups.

  • Colts' Kevin Toliver: Joins Indianapolis

The Colts signed Toliver on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Toliver, who went undrafted out of LSU in 2018, appeared in 27 games across his first NFL two seasons in Chicago, totaling 29 tackles and four pass breakups. He joined the Broncos ahead of the 2020 season but tore his ACL after appearing in two games. He landed a practice-squad role with the Ravens in 2021 but was waived this past May and had remained a free agent until joining the Colts. Toliver hasn't appeared in an NFL game since suffering the ACL injury.
