Grugier-Hill agreed to a contract with the Vikings on Wednesday, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Grugier-Hill played for the Panthers last season, recording 56 combined tackles, one sack and one interception on 392 defensive snaps in 17 regular-season games. He'll likely be a depth option for Minnesota's linebacker corps in 2024.... See More ... See Less

Panthers' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Makes five starts
Grugier-Hill finished the regular season with 56 tackles (31 solo), including one sack, and one interception on two passes defended in 17 games. Grugier-Hill's tackle total marked the second highest of his eight-year career. The veteran is now slated to become an unrestricted free agent, leaving his 2024 outlook uncertain until he finds a landing spot.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Ready for Sunday
Grugier-Hill (groin) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. After beginning the Panthers' week of practice with back-to-back limited sessions, Grugier-Hill was able to take on a full workload Friday, and he's now in line to suit up Sunday. The 29-year-old is expected to continue serving as a rotational inside linebacker as Carolina attempts to finish its season on a positive note in Week 18.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Will suit up
Grugier-Hill (illness) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Texans, Darin Gnatt of the Panthers' official site reports. Grugier-Hill didn't practice Friday due to an illness, but he'll still suit up Sunday. Over his last five appearances, Grugier-Hill has totaled 25 tackles, a sack and a pass defense while playing a rotational role.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Heads to the desert
The Cardinals signed Grugier-Hill on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Grugier-Hill will now join Zaven Collins and Isaiah Simmons in Arizona's linebacker corps following Tuesday's transaction. The 28-year-old requested a release from the Texans in late October, after he played just 18 defensive snaps during the Week 7 loss to the Raiders due to the team's recent activation of rookie third-round pick Christian Harris. Grugier-Hill paced Houston in tackles in 2021, and he's thus far racked up 40 tackles and six starts this season.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Full go Thursday
Grugier-Hill (neck) was listed as a full participation on the Texans' injury report Thursday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Grugier-Hill fully returned to practice after being listed as a limited participant on Houston's injury report Wednesday. The 28-year-old recorded 18 tackles during the Texans' overtime tie with the Colts in Week 1, and he should serve an important role against the Bears' run-heavy offense this coming Sunday.... Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Logs 18 tackles
Grugier-Hill had 18 tackles in Sunday's 20-20 overtime tie with the Colts in Week 1. A full overtime may have padded Grugier-Hill's stats, but he led the Texans last season with 108 tackles.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Leading tackler
Grugier-Hill recorded seven tackles, including one for a loss, in 28-25 loss to the Titans in Week 18. Grugier-Hill finished the season with a team-high 108 tackles, which represents a career best for the linebacker, who signed a one-year deal with Houston after spending five seasons as largely a substitute in Philadelphia and Miami. He added three sacks, three passes defensed, one interception and two forced fumbles to his seasonal resume. His stock is on the rise at the right time; the 27-year-old becomes an unrestricted free agent in the upcoming offseason. He told Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle that he'd like to return while adding there's been team interest in having him back. After the team parted ways with Zach Cunningham midseason, it's likely the Texans make an effort to re-sign Grugier-Hill.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Added to COVID-19 list
The Texans placed Grugier-Hill (knee) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Grugier-Hill's status for Sunday's game in Jacksonville was already iffy after he sprained his knee in the Week 14 loss to Seattle, so his placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list will present another obstacle he'll have to overcome in order to avoid an absence. The linebacker has been a tackling machine since Houston's Week 10 bye, racking up 45 stops to go along with two sacks and an interception over the team's past four contests.... See More ... Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Dealing with knee sprain
Grugier-Hill was diagnosed with a sprained knee after exiting Sunday's 33-13 loss to the Seahawks, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. Though the Texans don't believe Grugier-Hill sustained any ligament damage to his knee, his availability for the team's Week 15 matchup with Jacksonville is in question while he contends with the sprain. The 27-year-old has emerged as a high-end IDP commodity since stepping into a full-time role at linebacker for Houston in Week 2. Over his 11 appearances during that span, Grugier-Hill has racked up 92 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Won't return Sunday
Grugier-Hill (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Seahawks. Grugier-Hill recorded six tackles before leaving the Week 14 contest early with a knee injury. In his absence, Neville Hewitt will likely see increased snaps for the remainder of the game.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Turns in historic game
Grugier-Hill tallied 20 tackles (10 solo) and a sack in Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Colts. The Colts more than doubled up the Texans in time of possession (41:35 to 18:25), resulting in the Houston defense staying on the field for most of the day. Thanks largely to the game flow, Grugier-Hill was able to make history in the blowout loss, establishing a new Texans franchise record for tackles in a game while also becoming the first NFL player since 1999 to finish with at least 19 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack. Over his last four games alone, Grugier-Hill has amassed 47 stops, two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble, making him an elite IDP lineup option.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Racks up seven tackles
Grugier-Hill recorded seven tackles in Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Colts. Grugier-Hill led the team with seven tackles, and he now has at least that many stops in three of his five games on the season. He's played in every defensive snap across the team's last two contests.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Houston-bound on one-year deal
Grugier-Hill agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $3.25 million with the Texans on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Grugier-Hill had a modest 28 tackles with the Dolphins last season, but his biggest strength is his coverage ability rather than his tackling. The linebacker only started one game for Miami last season but logged 16 starts over the previous two campaigns with the Eagles.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Full practice Wednesday
Grugier-Hill (hand) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. The 26-year-old sustained the hand injury during the Week 6 win over the Jets, but he's good to go coming out of the bye week. Grugier-Hill should continue to work in a rotational role in Miami's linebacking corps.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Shifts to IR
Grugier-Hill (back) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. The Eagles released a statement stating that Grugier-Hill reported a back injury following Sunday's win over the Redskins, and upon further evaluation, the 25-year-old linebacker will undergo surgery to repair a lower lumbar disc herniation. According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Grugier Hill's agent revealed the fourth-year pro had been dealing with this injury for a majority of the season, and he should be fully recovered in three to four weeks. While he won't be eligible to return this season, Grugier-Hill should be ready to rock in 2020. He finishes the season with 23 tackles and a fumble recovery, and he'll be an unrestricted free agent in March.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Likely to start Week 7
Grugier-Hill is expected to draw the start at outside linebacker following the release of Zach Brown, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports reports. Grugier-Hill played 35 snaps on defense (49 percent) versus the Vikings in Week 6, and all signs point to his role increasing going forward. With Nigel Bradham (ankle) nursing an injury, it's possible that T.J. Edwards could also be called upon to slot into the starting lineup Sunday against Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Won't play Sunday
Grugier-Hill (knee) is officially listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions, Chris McPherson of the Eagles' official site reports. Grugier-Hill was initially listed as doubtful for Week 3, so his lack of availability doesn't come as much of a surprise. He'll work to retake the field during Thursday night's Week 4 matchup against Green Bay.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Out Sunday, could play Thursday
Grugier-Hill (knee) will not play in Sunday's game against the Lions but said he is planning on returning for next Thursday's outing in Green Bay, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Grugier-Hill is still making his way back from a Grade 3 MCL sprain he suffered back in early August, but it looks like the linebacker is on the cusp of making his return next week. Look for more information on Grugier-Hill's health to come early next week with the Eagles having a quick turnaround before Thursday night.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Kamu Grugier-Hill: Out for season opener
Grugier-Hill (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Redskins, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Reports did surface earlier this week that Grugier-Hill was close to returning to practice, but it will be at least another week before the linebacker sees the field. Zach Brown, Nate Gerry and Hayes Pullard are all in line to see extra reps Week 1.... See More ... See Less
