The 49ers waived Sharpe (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
San Francisco signed Sharpe to its practice squad Nov. 7 but placed him on the practice squad injured list with an undisclosed issue eight days later. The veteran receiver has yet to see NFL action this season following a 2021 campaign during which he caught 25 passes for 230 yards as a member of the Falcons.

Tajae Sharpe: Lands on PS injured list

Sharpe signed a practice-squad deal with the 49ers last week but wasn't elevated for the team's Week 10 win over the Chargers. The veteran wideout will now be forced to miss at least four games while on the PS injured list due to an undisclosed injury.

Sharpe signed to the 49ers' practice squad Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Sharpe worked out for the 49ers last week and will now join the team's practice unit. The wide receiver caught 25 passes for 230 yards while appearing in 15 games with the Falcons last season and has yet to appear in a contest in 2022. Sharpe will provide San Francisco with an additional depth option on offense and could even get elevated for Week 10 versus the Chargers if Deebo Samuel (hamstring) is held out again.

Tajae Sharpe: Works out for Arizona
Sharpe (ribs) received a tryout with the Cardinals on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Sharpe spent training camp with the Bears and did make their final 53-man roster. However, the 27-year-old suffered a rib injury during camp that ultimately led to him being placed on IR, before reaching an injury settlement with the team on Sept. 9. Now seemingly healthy, Sharpe is working to earn an opportunity to play this season.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday that Sharpe is dealing with a rib injury that will sideline him for the entire 2022 campaign, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Sharpe missed the final two exhibition games after leading the team with 44 yards during the preseason opener. His injury wasn't disclosed immediately and was continually labeled as day-to-day. However, after initially making the 53-man roster, he was placed on injured reserve early Wednesday, which -- barring an injury settlement, will end his 2022 campaign. Heading into his seventh season, Sharpe has been cleared to begin practicing with the Bears, as he'll have an opportunity to rejuvenate his NFL career. The seventh-year wideout spent his 2021 campaign with the Falcons, where he accounted for 25 receptions and 230 yards in 15 games. Along with Sharpe, the team also brought in a plethora of veteran receivers, including N'Keal Harry, Equanimeous St. Brown, Dante Pettis and David Moore to compete behind top options Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle.
