Bills' Sam Martin: Notches new contract with Buffalo
Martin and the Bills agreed to a three-year, $7.5 million contract Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
After joining Buffalo in late August last year, Martin will return to the team for 2023 and beyond. The punter registered his second-most yards per punt of his career in 2022 and will look to maintain that level of performance moving forward.

Bills' Sam Martin: Joins Buffalo
Martin signed with the Bills on Wednesday, Peter reports.
The 10th-year veteran was brought in as a replacement for punter Matt Araiza, who was waived by Buffalo on Saturday following the release of a civil suit alleging that he was involved in a rape case. Martin handled 67 punts for a net average of 46.0 yards over 17 games with Denver last season, and he is also expected to take over holder responsibilities with the Bills in 2022.

The Broncos activated Martin (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Martin tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday but will now be cleared to rejoin the team. However, the 31-year-old is still questionable for Saturday's matchup against Kansas City.

Broncos' Sam Martin: Enters COVID protocols
Martin (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports, as a result of testing positive for the virus, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Martin's move to the COVID list leaves him in danger of missing the Broncos' Week 18 game with the Chiefs. With no other punter on the active roster or practice squad, the Broncos will likely have to sign a potential replacement if Martin is unable to clear protocols quickly.
