Player Outlook
McManus left Denver for Jacksonville, where he's expected to be the starting kicker for a Jaguars offense that ranked 10th in scoring last season. Most people expect the Jacksonville offense to be even better in 2023, but if that means that Trevor Lawrence improves in the red zone and raises his mediocre touchdown rate, that could actually mean fewer FG attempts in Jacksonville. Another thing to watch is how losing that Mile High advantage affects McManus's distance kicking. He's made 23 field goals of at least 50 yards over the past three seasons and went 10 for 10 from 40-49 yards last year. He's a borderline top-12 option who fits best in the streamer conversation.

McManus had a strong showing during the preseason and retained that form Week 1, as he converted his lone field goal from 45 yards and was perfect on PATs. The veteran kicker is likely to be a decent fantasy option this year given the Jaguars' promising offense and his strong leg.

  • Broncos' Brandon McManus: Makes four PATs in loss

McManus did not attempt a field goal and made all four of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 34-28 loss to the Chiefs. Though McManus was perfect on his extra-point attempts Sunday, his production was limited by a surprisingly effective day for Denver's offense. Going forward, it's unlikely that the Broncos will all of a sudden be a team that consistently finishes drives in the end zone. For that reason, McManus remains a solid play based on Denver's tendency to stall in scoring range. The 31-year-old kicker will look to bounce back for fantasy purposes when the Broncos host the Cardinals in Week 15.

  • Broncos' Brandon McManus: Full participant Friday

McManus (quadriceps) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against Kansas City. McManus was sidelined to start Week 14 prep due to a quadriceps injury, but he returned as a limited participant Thursday and was full go Friday, putting him in line to suit up Sunday. That said, the injury may in part explain why McManus came up short on a potential game-winning 63-yard kick as time expired in the Broncos' one-point loss to the Ravens in Week 10, marking the fifth field goal he's missed beyond 50 yards this season. The Broncos could be more hesitant to give McManus more long field-goal opportunities at least for this week, as head coach Nathaniel Hackett told Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com on Friday that he's still "working through" what McManus' range will be Sunday while he manages the injury.

McManus (quadriceps) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports. McManus will now have one opportunity to return to a full practice before Friday's final injury report, though Hackett already said he doesn't plan to bring in another kicker for the Week 14 divisional clash.
