Broncos' Mike Purcell: Active for Week 8
Purcell (knee) will play in Sunday's Week 8 game versus the Jaguars.
Purcell was limited this week at practice while nursing a hamstring issue, but he was able to log a full session Friday and is ready to go for Sunday's contest. The defensive tackle matched his season high with five tackles in Week 7 against the Jets, and he is now up to 22 total tackles -- including 1.5 sacks -- on the campaign over seven games.

Broncos' Mike Purcell: Records first sack of season
Purcell recorded five solo tackles and one sack during Sunday's 11-10 win over the 49ers.
Purcell chased Jimmy Garoppolo out of the back of the end zone in the third quarter to notch his first sack of the campaign and a pivotal safety for the Broncos. It was the undrafted defensive tackle's third-career sack across seven seasons.

Broncos' Mike Purcell: Back at practice
Purcell (undisclosed) participated in team drills during mandatory minicamp, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports.
Purcell was sidelined for OTAs at the end of April due to an undisclosed injury, but as expected, the veteran defensive tackle has moved past the minor issue quickly. Purcell notched 33 tackles across 13 appearances last season and will likely garner a similar role in 2022.

Broncos' Mike Purcell: Activated by Denver
The Broncos activated Purcell (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Purcell tested positive for COVID-19 last week and was held out for Sunday's loss to the Chargers. However, he should reclaim his starting role for Saturday's Week 18 matchup against Kansas City.
