Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Needed late in Week 4 loss
Trubisky completed three of five passes for 18 yards after replacing Kenny Pickett (knee) in Sunday's 30-6 loss to the Texans.
Pickett was injured on a Jonathan Greenard sack, forcing Trubisky to take the reins of the offense for the entire fourth quarter. The 29-year-old QB did little with the opportunity -- his longest completion went for just eight yards -- but Houston also held a 23-6 lead when Trubisky entered the game, and Pittsburgh didn't make an aggressive attempt to mount a comeback. It's not clear at this point how serious Pickett's injury is, but if he's unavailable in Week 5, Trubisky would get the start at home against a tough but injury-riddled Ravens defense.

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Efficient in victory
Trubisky completed seven of nine pass attempts for 54 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions while rushing once for 24 yards during Thursday's 24-0 preseason win over the Falcons.
After a lackluster performance in the preseason opener, Trubisky has turned things around during the last two matchups, completing 17 of 22 pass attempts for 132 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions while rushing three times for 37 yards. Mason Rudolph wasn't nearly as effective during Thursday's preseason finale, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Trubisky open the regular season as the Steelers' No. 2 quarterback.

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Bounces back Saturday
Trubisky completed 10 of 13 pass attempts for 78 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions while rushing twice for 13 yards during Saturday's 27-15 win over the Bills.
Trubisky wasn't very effective during the Steelers' preseason opener, but he saw the most work of any of the team's quarterbacks Saturday and was an effective option. Kenny Pickett is still the team's clear starter, but it was encouraging to see Trubisky generate some production Saturday, especially after Mason Rudolph put together another solid performance.
