  • 49ers' De'Vondre Campbell: Signing with San Francisco

The 49ers signed Campbell to a one-year deal Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The eight-year veteran is signing with the 49ers after spending the last three seasons of his career in Green Bay. Campbell struggled with injuries last year, appearing in just 11 games, but he still recorded 75 total tackles and defended one pass. The 30-year-old could very well have the opportunity to compete for a starting job in the 49ers' linebacker corps this offseason, especially with Dre Greenlaw recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs.

  • De'Vondre Campbell: Done in Green Bay

Campbell is slated to be released by the Packers when the new league year opens Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Campbell's exit comes as the veteran linebacker completed his third season with the team. The 30-year-old played in 11 regular-season games in 2023, while missing time with a neck injury and compiling 73 combined tackles. His departure was considered a cap-saving move for Green Bay, although it's not yet clear how much money the team will save.

Campbell (neck) was considered to be a full participant at the Packers' walk-through Wednesday. Campbell has missed Green Bay's last two contests while dealing with a neck injury, but he appears ready to make his return to the field for Sunday's win-and-in matchup with the Bears. • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Questionable versus Detroit

The Packers have listed Campbell (neck) as questionable for Thursday' matchup with the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports. Campbell is still nursing a neck injury that could possibly hold him out of Thursday's contest. • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Doubtful for Sunday

Campbell (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at Denver, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Even with the benefit of a Week 6 bye, Campbell appears to be on track to miss his third straight game in Week 7 as he continues to work through an ankle injury he sustained in Week 3 versus New Orleans. If that is indeed the case, Isaiah McDuffie should continue to see increased work in Campbell's absence.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Trending toward sitting out Sunday

Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Campbell (ankle) is unlikely to play in Week 7, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Despite a Week 6 bye, it seems Campbell is on track to miss a third straight game as he recovers from an ankle injury he sustained in Week 3 versus New Orleans. Isaiah McDuffie should continue to see an expanded role for as long as Campbell remains sidelined.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Misses practice again Friday

Campbell (ankle) did not practice Friday. Campbell injured his ankle against the Saints in Week 3 and did not play last Thursday versus Detroit. He appears likely to miss Week 5 as well given that he did not practice either Thursday or Friday this week. Isaiah McDuffie has seen more work in each of the Packers' past two games and will presumably play a major role again Monday in Las Vegas if Campbell is sidelined once more.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Unlikely to play Monday

Campbell (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Campbell is unlikely to suit up for Monday night's game against Las Vegas, as he continues to be held out with an ankle injury suffered during Green Bay's Week 3 win over the Saints. Isaiah McDuffie is expected to continue starting at inside linebacker alongside Quay Walker if Campbell is unable to go.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Racks up 14 tackles

Campbell made 14 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Falcons. Campbell racked up twice as many stops as he recorded in Week 1 and tied his best tackle total from the 2022 campaign. Campbell remains capable of producing, but as things stand, fellow inside linebacker Quay Walker looks like the Packer to go after in leagues that use IDPs, as the latter played every defensive snap in Week 2 while the former was on the field just 83 percent of the time.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Active in win

Campbell recorded seven tackles (three solo) in Green Bay's season opening victory over the Bears. Campbell dealt with an ankle injury during training camp but showed no signs of it slowing him down in Week 1. He was on the field for 53 defensive plays (76 percent). Fellow inside linebacker Quay Walker's (concussion) status is uncertain for week 2, so Campbell may have more responsibility in Atlanta if he ultimately has to sit out.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Should be good for Week 1

General manager Brian Gutekunst said Friday that Campbell (ankle) isn't nursing a long-term injury and is expected to be ready for Week 1, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Campbell is expected to be healthy for Week 1's game against the Bears, a positive development for Green Bay's defense. Though Campbell's production dipped in 2022, he earned All-Pro honors in 2021 and is locked in for a starting role when back to 100 percent.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Output slips in 2022

Campbell tallied 96 tackles (56 solo), two interceptions, three pass deflections and a touchdown over 13 appearances during the 2022 season. Campbell was a steady presence in the middle of Green Bay's defense when he was out there, but with him playing three fewer games than the season before and fellow linebacker Quay Walker stepping into a key role in his rookie season, Campbell wound up with 50 fewer tackles than he made during the 2021 campaign. Campbell should remain a key contributor for the Packers after signing a multi-year deal last offseason, but don't count on him to make the same fantasy impact he did a couple years ago.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Records 11 stops in return

Campbell recorded 11 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 28-19 victory over the Bears. Campbell returned from a four-week absence in Week 13, and he wound up reaching double digits in the tackle column for the fourth time in nine appearances this season. Campbell played every defensive snap in Sunday's contest, so don't expect him to face any limitations over the remainder of the season.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Listed as questionable

Campbell (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Campbell was limited during each of the Packers' three practice sessions this week, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up Sunday. If the Packers elect to hold him out, he'd have an extra week to recover since the team has a Week 14 bye.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Missing fourth straight game

Campbell (knee) is inactive for Sunday's contest in Philadelphia, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. While he'll miss a fourth game in a row due to a right knee injury that he suffered back in Week 8, Campbell was able to cap Week 12 prep with a limited practice, perhaps signaling that he's closing in on a return to action. The Packers have just one game before a Week 14 bye, though, so the team may exercise caution with its top inside linebacker. In the meantime, Krys Barnes and Isaiah McDuffie will continue to see elevated workloads alongside Quay Walker in the middle of the defense.

  • Packers' De'Vondre Campbell: Can't practice Wednesday

Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Campbell (knee) will not practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Campbell hasn't played since Week 8 due to a right knee injury, and he now only has two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's road matchup against the Eagles. Quay Walker and Isaiah McDuffie will continue to handle increased roles if Campbell misses more time.
