  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Absorbing new offense

Henry, who has spent more time in Nashville this offseason compared to previous years, has been been in town for all six of the Titans' voluntary OTAs, including Tuesday's minicamp, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. The Titans' clear-cut top back noted that his increased offseason presence stems from wanting to get up to speed with the team's new offense under coordinator Tim Kelly. "It's a completely new offense, and I'm just coming in here trying to learn everything, and get used to the terminology," Henry noted, while adding "(I wanted) to try and get on it as early as I can and learn (the offense)" and "get some reps in so when I get back, I'll be ready to go in camp." Per Wyatt, the 29-year-old, who logged 349 carries in 16 games in 2022, "looks to be in great shape" at this stage of the offseason, while also looking "smooth running and catching the ball." As the coming season approaches, Henry is poised to maintain his high-volume role in Tennessee's offense, while 2023 third-rounder Tyjae Spears and 2022 fourth-rounder Hassan Haskins are in line to compete for complementary snaps in the team's backfield.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Tops 100 yards in loss

Henry rushed the ball 30 times for 109 yards in Saturday's 20-16 loss to the Jaguars. He added one reception for 19 yards. As expected, Henry was the focal point of the Tennessee offense, and he tallied his highest carry total since Week 8. He wasn't particularly efficient, but he helped the Titans maintain a lead for the majority of the game. Henry also topped 100 rushing yards for the fourth consecutive contest, which brought his yardage total on the campaign to 1,538. Also important for fantasy purposes, Henry racked up a career-high 33 receptions across 16 games. He'll return to Tennessee in 2023 and is likely to remain the driving force behind the offense.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Full practice Tuesday

Henry (hip) practiced fully Tuesday, John Glennon of SI.com reports. Prior to sitting out last Thursday versus the Cowboys, Henry managed two limited sessions due to hip injury. With a full practice under is belt to start Week 18 prep, he's now in line to reclaim his role as the Titans' unquestioned top running back ahead of Saturday's scheduled 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. For the season, that's amounted to 23.4 touches for 120.5 yards from scrimmage per game and 13 rushing TDs in 15 appearances.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Practicing Tuesday

Henry (hip) participated in practice Tuesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Henry was held out last Thursday against the Cowboys due to a hip issue that capped him to two limited sessions. As the Titans resume preparation for Saturday's scheduled 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, the running back was spotted working through drills with team trainers, according to Davenport. Ultimately, Henry's activity level will be revealed later Tuesday.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Inactive Thursday

Henry (hip) is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Cowboys. Henry, who the Titans listed as a limited practice participant Tuesday and Wednesday, approached the contest listed as doubtful, so it's not a surprise that he'll sit this one out and focus on being ready for the team's AFC South title showdown against the Jaguars in Week 18. In his absence versus Dallas, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site relays that Hassan Haskins figures to get the bulk of Tennessee's backfield work Thursday, with Julius Chestnut mixing in. Additionally, Jonathan Ward is up from the practice squad to provide further RB depth.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Not expected to play Thursday

Henry (hip), who is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, is not expected to suit up, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Henry is listed as doubtful despite coming off back-to-back limited practices, and it appears that Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut will be tasked with leading Tennessee's backfield versus Dallas' stout defensive front. The outcome of Thursday's contest won't impact the Titans' chances of attaining the AFC South crown, so Henry's focus may well simply be making sure he's at 100 percent form for Week 18's pivotal divisional matchup against the Jaguars. Official word on Henry's status will come prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Doubtful for Thursday's game

Henry (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Given Henry's designation, look for Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut to see added snaps out of the backfield snaps versus Dallas, while Jonathan Ward is a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad to provide additional depth. Assuming Henry is inactive this week, the Titans' top back will turn his focus to preparing for the team's key divisional showdown with the Jaguars in Week 18, when the AFC South champion will be decided.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Turns in limited practice

The Titans listed Henry (hip) as a limited participant at Tuesday's practice. Though Henry is nursing what's believed to be a minor hip issue coming out of Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans, the running back suggested Tuesday that he thinks he'll be available for Thursday's game against the Cowboys. More specifically, Henry told Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, that "whatever I got to do, whatever coach needs me to do, I'm ready to do," when asked about his chances of playing Week 17. While head coach Mike Vrabel hasn't indicated that he plans to hold Henry out or limit the running back's snaps and touches Thursday, the Titans would need ample help over the next two weeks to claim a wild-card berth even with a win or tie versus Dallas. At the same time, a loss Thursday wouldn't affect the Titans' bid for the AFC South crown, as Tennessee is playing what amounts to a win-or-go-home game Week 18 in Jacksonville to decide the division champion between the two teams. With that in mind, fantasy managers may want to keep an eye out for reports regarding Henry's potential role for Thursday night, even if he approaches the contest without an injury designation.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: DNP on practice estimate

Henry (hip) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. The Titans held a walkthrough Monday, but Henry's appearance on the team's first injury report of the week due to a listed hip issue nonetheless makes the running back's status worth monitoring as Thursday night's game against the Cowboys approaches. In this past Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans, Henry logged a 74 percent snap share en route to carrying 23 times for 126 yards and a touchdown, while top backup Hassan Haskins was out there for 15 snaps, catching both of his targets for 17 yards and recording zero rushing attempts.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Tops 100 yards, loses key fumble

Henry rushed the ball 23 times for 126 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans. He also recorded two receptions for zero yards. Henry entered the game having rushed for more than 200 yards in each of his last four games against the Texans. He appeared to be in line for a fifth consecutive massive performance when he ripped off a 48-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. However, he managed only two additional runs of more than 10 yards for the rest of the game, which led to a strong but unspectacular performance. Henry also lost a fumble early in the fourth quarter, which led to a field goal for Houston. Despite the mistake, Henry has now topped 100 rushing yards and scored a touchdown in three consecutive contests.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Tops century mark in loss

Henry carried the ball 21 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and caught all four of his targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Chargers. The running back led the Titans in both rushing yards and receiving yards but didn't get much help from the rest of his offense. Henry racked up his second straight 100-yard game and his seventh of the season, but he continues to look up at the Raiders' Josh Jacobs for the NFL rushing crown. However, Henry could close the gap significantly in Week 16 against a Texans defense he's torched for more than 200 rushing yards each of the last four times he's faced it.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Top DFS Play

Henry bounced back nicely in Week 14 against the Jaguars and now he faces arguably the worst run defense in the entire NFL. You can get cute somewhere else, play Henry. Especially on FanDuel.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Excels in loss

Henry rushed the ball 17 times for 121 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Jaguars. He added three receptions on five targets for 34 yards. Henry looked to be taking over the game early, as he managed 82 rushing yards and a touchdown through the Titans' first three drives. Needless to say, he slowed considerably from there and also had a key fumble late in the second quarter that arguably changed the trajectory of the game. Despite that crucial mistake, Henry managed his first 100-yard rushing performance since Week 9 and his first rushing score since Week 11.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Limited by game script

Henry rushed the ball 11 times for 30 yards in Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Eagles. He added two receptions for eight yards. Henry saw seven of his 11 rushes in the first half, as the Titans were down multiple scores for the entirety of the last two quarters. He was limited to a season low in carries as a result and was held to under 40 rushing yards for the second consecutive game. Henry has also failed to reach the end zone in three of his last four contests, which, combined with his lack of involvement as a pass catcher, has highlighted his relatively fragile floor.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Contained in Week 12 loss

Henry rushed 17 times for 38 yards and caught all three of his targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Bengals. Keeping Henry in check on the ground was key to Cincinnati's success in this one, as the star running back mustered his lowest rushing yardage total since Week 2. He made up for the lackluster rushing game by leading the Titans in receiving yards. Most of Henry's yardage came on a 69-catch in the second quarter. He actually fumbled at the end of the play, but teammate Treylon Burks recovered it in the end zone for the game's first touchdown. Up next for Henry and the Titans will be a Week 13 trip to Philadelphia.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Hefty workload in win

Henry rushed 28 times for 87 yards and a touchdown, brought in both targets for 45 yards and completed two pass attempts for four yards and a touchdown in the Titans' 27-17 win over the Packers on Thursday night. Dontrell Hilliard was the only other back to register a carry for the Titans on the night, and he logged exactly one rush attempt. That equated to a particularly busy night for Henry, who'd logged just a combined 36 carries in the previous pair of games. Henry also made impressive contributions through the air as both a passer and receiver, throwing a three-yard jump touchdown pass to Austin Hooper just past the halfway point of the third quarter and recording a 42-yard reception as well. Henry crossed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground for the fourth time in the last five seasons with Thursday's effort, and his next chance to build on his already impressive numbers comes in a Week 12 home battle against the Bengals a week from Sunday.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Held to 67 total yards

Henry rushed the ball 19 times for 53 yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Broncos. He added two receptions on three targets for 14 yards. As has been the case all season, Henry remained the focal point of the Tennessee offense. However, he was held under 80 rushing yards for only the second time, and he failed to reach 20 carries for only the third time on the campaign. While typically very efficient, Henry averaged only 2.8 yards per carry and managed only one rush that went for 10 yards or more. While Henry was shut down in a tough matchup Sunday, he should be in a great position to produce in a Week 11 matchup against a soft Packers run defense.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Two more scores in monster game

Henry rushed 17 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Chiefs. Henry was not targeted in the passing game, but fantasy managers won't complain after another huge multi-score performance on the ground. The bruising back continues to thrive despite the Titans having no passing game (they totaled 53 passing yards Sunday) to help alleviate the opposition's defensive focus. The 28-year-old boasts a robust 183/870/9 rushing line through eight games, making the premature worries about his slow start to the season feel like a distant memory. Henry will lead the Titans' offensive attack in a home matchup against the Broncos next Sunday.

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Clear for Week 9

Henry (rest) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Kansas City, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Henry kicked off the week with limited on-field work Wednesday due to a foot issue, while his absence one day later was related to rest. After a full practice Friday, though, the Titans' top running back is good to go for Week 9 action. Henry could find the going tough versus the Chiefs' third-ranked run defense (92 yards per game).

  • Titans' Derrick Henry: Gets a rest day Thursday

Henry's absence from practice Thursday was rest-related, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Henry was listed as a limited participant Wednesday due to a foot issue, but Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site previously relayed that the running back indicated Thursday that his "foot is fine" and that he'd "be out there on Sunday playing" against Kansas City. Assuming no setbacks, look for Henry to head into the weekend minus a Week 9 injury designation.
