  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Won't be at voluntary workouts

Engram is not in line to participate in the initial stage of the Jaguars' voluntary offseason workout program, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports. At this stage, the tight end has yet to sign his franchise tag with Jacksonville, with the two sides having until July 17 to potentially come to terms on a contract extension, something that GM Trent Baalke has noted that he hopes to see occur. If not, assuming Engram signs his franchise tender with the Jaguars, the 2017 first-rounder would be in line to earn $11.35 million in 2023. The 28-year-old is coming off a 2022 campaign (his first with the team) in which he caught a career-high 73 passes for 766 yards and four TDs in 17 games.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Gets franchise tag from Jaguars

The Jaguars have assigned the franchise tag to Engram, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This was already the expectation, but it's now slated to occur after the sides were unable to come to an agreement on a long-term deal ahead of Tuesday's tagging deadline. They'll now have until mid-July to keep discussing a deal. Engram had a career year in Jacksonville last season with 73 catches for 766 yards and four touchdowns.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Expected to get franchise tag

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Jaguars are expected to assign the franchise tag to Engram. Jaguars GM Trent Baalke said earlier in the week that Engram was going to be back with the team in 2023, whether it was via the franchise tag or on a long-term deal. The tag gives the Jaguars more time to talk with Engram's camp to hammer out an extension. If Engram plays on the tag, it will pay him a guaranteed $11.345 million.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Held in check

Engram recorded five receptions on six targets for 31 yards in Saturday's 27-20 loss to the Chiefs. Engram remained heavily involved in the Jaguars' offense, and he closed the season with at least six targets in five of his last eight games. He didn't do much with his opportunity in Saturday's loss, though he did manage receptions of 16 and 10 yards. Engram recorded a career-best 73 receptions and 766 yards across 17 games in the regular season, and that should help him land a fairly substantial deal in free agency this offseason.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Paces Jags in receiving yards

Engram recorded seven receptions on 11 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 31-30 wild-card round win over the Chargers. Engram racked up double-digit targets for the third time in his last six games and took advantage to put up big gains of 24, 21 and 16 yards. He also began Jacksonville's comeback effort with a nine-yard touchdown catch just before halftime. Engram has been a boom-bust option of late -- he's topped 100 yards in three of his last six games but has under 30 yards twice in that span -- but the Jaguars' offense will likely have to take to the air often with likely potential matchups against the Chiefs or Bills in the AFC divisional round.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Bounces back with four catches

Engram caught all four passes for 27 yards during Saturday's 20-16 win against the Titans. After managing just one reception during a Week 17 win at Houston, Engram bounced back somewhat in a regular-season finale in which quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 212 yards. With the help of two 100-yard performances Weeks 14 and 16, Engram also ended the campaign with career bests in catches (73) and receiving yards (766). The Jaguars clinched the AFC South with this Week 18 win, so he and his teammates will focus on hosting a wild-card round matchup next Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Quiet in Week 17

Engram caught one pass for 16 yards on two targets against Houston on Sunday. He also rushed once for 13 yards. Engram was red-hot going into Sunday's game, but the Jaguars passing game was mostly dormant in the 31-3 blowout victory. Jacksonville didn't have much reason to display its full playbook against a toothless opponent in a meaningless game, so perhaps Engram can get cooking again when the Jaguars face Tennessee for the AFC South title in Week 18.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: TEs to Start

The Jets went 13 weeks without allowing a touchdown to a tight end, and then they gave up one in each of the past two games against Dawson Knox in Week 14 and Brock Wright in Week 15. Engram might not score, but he's been on fire for the past three games and should remain a starter in the majority of leagues. He has at least 14 PPR points in three games in a row against Detroit, Tennessee and Dallas with 24 catches for 254 yards and three touchdowns on 32 targets over that span. Let's hope Trevor Lawrence continues to look for Engram in this matchup, and he's worth trusting even in a tough matchup on the road.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Late-season surge continues in win

Engram secured seven of eight targets for 113 yards in the Jaguars' 19-3 win over the Jets on Thursday night. Engram comfortably paced the Jaguars in receptions, receiving yards and targets, continuing what has been a remarkable late-season breakout. The veteran tight end now has two 100-yard efforts in the last three games, putting together an elite 26-337-2 line on 33 targets over that span. Given his emergence and the Jaguars' ongoing postseason push, Engram figures to once again play a critical role in a Week 17 road matchup against the Texans a week from Sunday.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Leads team with eight catches

Engram recorded eight receptions on 10 targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 40-34 win over the Cowboys. Engram's sudden jump in involvement in the Jacksonville offense continued, as he tallied double-digit targets for the second consecutive week. That helped him lead the team in receptions, though he managed an inefficient 6.2 yards per target. Despite having long stretches with little production this season, Engram has seemingly emerged as a trustworthy option at tight end in the closing weeks of the season.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: TEs to Start

This is a brutal matchup for Engram since the Cowboys are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, but I'm counting on him getting plenty of targets in this matchup, which is important. He has seven games this season with at least six targets, and he has scored at least 11 PPR points in five of them. His lowest output in those seven games was also nine PPR points, which shockingly enough, would still be respectable for a tight end in PPR. The main reason to trust Engram against Dallas is his performance the past two weeks when he combined for 16 catches, 192 yards and three touchdowns on 22 targets against Detroit and Tennessee. He's hot right now, and hopefully he can overcome the Cowboys defense in Week 15.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Possibe Bust (Lineup Decisions)

It's a near-certainty that Engram won't see 15 targets again -- he might see less than half that many. His own limp receiving average and an incredibly tough matchup against the Cowboys puts him in that range of tight ends you'll start because you can't find anyone better. That's the best way to view Engram this week. I'd rather start David Njoku and Cole Kmet, but Engram is still a safer proposition than Gerald Everett, Tyler Conklin or Taysom Hill.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Week 15 Streamers (TE Preview)

It's not just Engram's Week 14 explosion that has us starting him in the Fantasy playoffs. He had 14 points on seven targets in Week 13 against the Lions. The Cowboys have been very good against tight ends, but Trevor Lawrence is on fire and the Cowboys should score enough to put Lawrence over 40 pass attempts once again.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Week 15 Waiver Priority List

Engram was amazing in Week 14 at Tennessee with 11 catches for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 15 targets, and he now has 22 targets for 16 catches, 162 yards and three touchdowns in his past two games. He has emerged as a go-to target for Trevor Lawrence, and Engram is worth starting in all leagues in Week 15 against Dallas. He should be added for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Shreds Titans in victory

Engram recorded 11 receptions on 15 targets for 162 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Titans. Engram had seen 14 targets combined across his last four games entering Sunday's matchup, but he suddenly became Trevor Lawrence's favorite target. He found the end zone on receptions of 12 and 21 yards to bring his touchdown total on the season to four. Engram also was potent with big plays, tallying four catches of 15 yards or more. He's topped 30 receiving yards in only six of 13 games this season, so despite the standout performance, it's difficult to project a duplicate effort in the near future.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Week 15 Early Waiver Targets (Add/Drop)

Engram has been a fringe Fantasy starter for most of the season, but he might have single handedly sent you to the playoffs if you started him Sunday. It was the first two-touchdown game of his career and his first game with 100-plus yards since Week 11 of 2020, while establishing a new career-high in yards and matching his catch best. Engram took advantage of a Titans defense that gives up a lot of pass volume and made a point of taking Christian Kirk out of the game, but the matchup in Week 15 is a much tougher one, against a Cowboys defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest points to tight ends this season. A repeat performance is, of course, unlikely, but if you need a tight end, why not grab one with this kind of demonstrated upside?

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: TEs to Start

Engram will hopefully get hot after he had a strong performance in Week 13 at Detroit. In that game against the Lions, Engram had five catches for 30 yards and a touchdown on seven targets, and it appears like Trevor Lawrence (foot) will play against the Titans. Tennessee is No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, so this is a favorable matchup to trust Engram as a low-end starter in the majority of leagues.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Week 14 Waiver Priority List

Engram just had five catches for 30 yards and a touchdown on seven targets at Detroit, and he has another favorable matchup in Week 14 at Tennessee. The Titans are No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Hopefully, Trevor Lawrence (foot) is healthy and can continue to lean on Engram, and the Jaguars will be throwing a lot in that matchup. Engram is worth adding in all leagues for up to 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Gets into end zone during loss

Engram brought in five of seven targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 40-14 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Engram was second in receptions, receiving yards and targets to Christian Kirk, making it a somewhat atypical afternoon for the veteran tight end. Engram also recorded a three-yard scoring grab late in the third quarter, only his second touchdown of the season. Engram does now have multiple catches in six of the last eight games, but the fact he's topped 50 receiving yards on just three occasions caps his overall upside going into a tough Week 14 road matchup against the Titans.

  • Jaguars' Evan Engram: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Engram will be tough to trust this week given his recent lack of involvement with seven targets for five catches, 26 yards and no touchdowns in his past three games against the Raiders, Chiefs and Ravens. But this matchup is juicy against the Lions, who are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Detroit has allowed four touchdowns to tight ends in the past six games, and hopefully Engram can prove himself useful to Trevor Lawrence and Fantasy managers in this matchup.
