Billings (lower leg) is listed as active Saturday at Pittsburgh. Sidelined since Week 12 due to a lower-leg issue, Billings put together three limited sessions in a row for a second consecutive week. This time, though, he'll avoid being inactive. At the very least, Billings will be available to the Raiders' rotation along the interior defensive line, which so far has amounted to 34 tackles and one sack in 11 appearances.... See More ... Raiders' Andrew Billings: Sitting out Sunday
Billings (lower leg) has been ruled inactive ahead of Sunday's game versus New England. Billings will miss his second game in a row after picking up a lower-leg injury versus Seattle in Week 12. His next chance to suit up will come versus the Steelers on Saturday, Dec. 24. With fellow defensive tackle Neil Farrell (coach's decision) also inactive, expect Jerry Tillery to see the vast majority of reps alongside Bilal Nichols on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Andrew Billings: Draws questionable tag
Billings (lower leg) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Patriots, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports. Billings logged limited workloads at practice all week and is looking like a true game-time decision. If he is ultimately unable to go again, Jerry Tillery and Neil Farrell could again be in line for increased snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Andrew Billings: Out for Thursday's matchup
Billings (lower leg) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Rams, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. Billings is in line to miss his second straight contest as a result of the lower-leg injury he sustained versus Seattle in Week 12. In his absence, Bilal Nichols, Neil Farrell and Matthew Butler could all receive additional opportunities on the interior of Las Vegas' defensive line for the time being.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Andrew Billings: Not on injury report
Billings (undisclosed) was not listed on the Raiders' injury report Wednesday, Rachel Gossen of the team's official site reports. Billings exited during the fourth quarter of Las Vegas' season-opening loss to the Chargers this past Sunday with an undisclosed injury. However, his lack of any injury designation Wednesday appears to indicate that he should be available heading into the team's Week 2 matchup against Arizona. Billings has already surpassed his total defensive production from last season -- one tackle over six games with Cleveland -- through one game in 2022, and he should slot in as the Raiders' starting defensive when healthy moving forward.... Raiders' Andrew Billings: Signs with Raiders
Billings will sign a contract with the Raiders on Sunday, Matt Lombardo of FanSided reports. Billings appeared in six games for the Browns in 2021 but was let go in November. He finished the year on the Dolphins' practice squad but will attempt to carve out a role with the Raiders during the offseason.... See More ... See Less -
Andrew Billings: Lands with Miami
Billings was signed to the Dolphins' practice squad Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Billings failed to draw any interest while on waivers but found a new home quickly after becoming a free agent earlier in the day. He appeared in six games for Cleveland in 2021 before being issued his release earlier in the week.... See More ... See Less -
Bengals' Andrew Billings: One sack in 16 games
Billings notched 35 tackles (18 solo) and one sack across 16 regular-season games in 2019. Billings played a steady role along Cincinnati's defensive line for the second straight season, but a lack of upside as a pass rusher once again kept him largely off the IDP radar. The 23-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.... See More ... See Less -
Bengals' Andrew Billings: Reaches quarterback in loss
Billings notched four tackles (one solo) and a sack in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Steelers. Billings, who's logged at least 62 percent of the Bengals' defensive snaps in three straight games, collected his first sack of the season in Week 12.... See More ... See Less -
Bengals' Andrew Billings: Records first sack
Billings provided one of the very few defensive highlights for the Bengals in their Sunday loss to the Chiefs, recording his first career sack. Billings had a big preseason and there was some hope that he'd have a big impact this year, but instead his impact has been minimal, with only 11 tackles and this one sack over seven games.... Bengals' Andrew Billings: Invited to Sunday's sack party
Billings had 1.5 sacks in Sunday's preseason win over the Bills. Billings was a force on Sunday, combining with Carl Lawson and crew to total six sacks overall. He should play a much bigger role for the team this year after being limited last year. The release of Chris Baker makes it obvious that Billings will play often in 2018.... See More ... See Less -
Bengals' Andrew Billings: Progressing in recovery from knee injury
Billings (knee) considered himself almost completely recovered in December, Cincinnati.com reports. "I couldn't play football," Billings admitted. "But I could run, and cut, squat and do the regular things I needed to do." Billings tore the meniscus in one of his knees during a joint scrimmage with the Vikings last summer and subsequently spent the entirety of the 2016 season on injured reserve. It appears his recovery has gone about as well as it could have, considering he was still able to work out his upper body during rehab and could perform most basic leg movements by December. While Billings noted he wasn't in football shape at that point, he still has over two months until team workouts commence. When that time comes, assuming he recovered in full, Billings should make a push to claim a first-string defensive tackle role with incumbent starter Domata Peko an unrestricted free agent.... Bengals' Andrew Billings: Fourth-round pick for Bengals
The Bengals selected Billings in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 122nd overall. Billings was a favorite of many draft media, but the NFL simply wasn't that high on him. At 6-foot-1, 311 pounds with good athleticism and elite strength, it's not obvious why Billings fell quite this far, but for the Bengals he in any case looks like a fine bargain this late....
