Buccaneers' Ryan Neal: Joining Tampa Bay
Neal and the Buccaneers agreed to terms on a one-year deal Tuesday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Neal will sign with Tampa Bay after spending the past four seasons in Seattle. The 27-year-old logged 66 tackles (45 solo), a sack and an interception last season while playing in 14 games. Neal will now look to provide solid depth behind Antoine Winfield and might even have an opportunity to compete for a starting role, as the Buccaneers currently lack depth in the secondary.

Ryan Neal: Becomes free agent
The Seahawks have withdrawn the contract tender they had previously extended to Neal as a restricted free agent, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
As a result, the 27-year-old becomes an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any NFL team. In 14 games with the Seahawks last season, Neal recorded 66 tackles and a pick. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder shouldn't have much trouble catching on with another squad looking to add safety depth ahead of next month's draft.

Seahawks' Ryan Neal: Gets tender from Seahawks
The Seahawks have extended a right of first refusal tender to restricted free agent Neal, ESPN's Brady Henderson reports.
Should he sign it, the tender will pay Neal more than $2.6 million. With Jamal Adams suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 1 last year, Neal played an expanded role on the back of the Seattle defense next to Quandre Diggs. Neal was in on a career-high 73 percent of the snaps and recorded one interception.

Seahawks' Ryan Neal: Sheds injury designation
Neal (knee) is not on the team's Thursday injury report for Saturday's game against the 49ers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Neal hasn't played since Week 15 with the injury, and his return should bolster the team's secondary for the wild-card round. Coach Pete Carroll also said that Neal is "back and ready to go," as reported by Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle, which is confirmed by his lack of a designation on the team's final injury report of the week.

Neal (knee) logged a limited practice session Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Neal missed the final three games of the regular season due to a knee issue that first popped up Week 13 versus the Rams. He didn't practice at all between Week 16 and 18, so the fact that he was listed as limited during Tuesday's walkthrough and again for Wednesday's practice session at least gives him a chance of returning for Saturday's wild-card contest against San Francisco. Neal's ability to play would be a huge boost for the Seahawks against the 49ers' explosive offense, and if the fifth-year safety does indeed take the field, Johnathan Abram would likely see a reduced role in Seattle's secondary.

Neal will finish the 2022 regular season with three consecutive absences due to a lingering knee injury.
