Herron (knee) was placed on the Raiders' injured reserve list Saturday.
Herron was recently traded to Las Vegas from the Patriots in hopes to help protect Derek Carr. While it is unclear just when the offensive tackle sustained his knee injury, he was able to suit up for Week 4 and play 17 of the team's snaps.

Raiders' Justin Herron: Headed to Raiders after trade
New England traded Herron along with a 2024 seventh-round pick to Las Vegas on Wednesday in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
The 2020 sixth-rounder out of Wake Forest made his way back onto the Patriots' 53-man roster in a depth capacity ahead of the 2022 season, but the Raiders, who have one of the league's worst offensive lines, saw fit to trade for him after they saw Derek Carr sacked seven times over the first two weeks of the new campaign. It's not immediately clear where Herron fits in Las Vegas' offense -- at 6-foot-5, 305 lb. with 33.5-inch arms, he's on the smaller side for a tackle -- but the Raiders can use all the help they can get at the offensive point of attack.

Patriots' Justin Herron: Makes 53-man roster
Herron made the Patriots' initial 53-man roster ahead of the 2021 campaign, Mike Dussault of the Patriots' official site reports.
Herron sustained an ankle injury during New England's Week 17 matchup against the Jets last year but appeared in each of the team's three preseason contests this year. He's expected to serve a depth role on the offensive line in 2021.

Herron (ankle) is considered questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
New England's offensive line has surrendered three sacks as the contest continues late into the fourth quarter, but Cam Newton is enjoying his first multi-passing TD performance of the year with the Patriots carrying a two-possession lead. Should Herron prove unable to return, Jermaine Eluemunor may shift over from right tackle to fill the void on the blindside. Otherwise, Korey Cunningham could be in line for an opportunity at left tackle.

Patriots' Justin Herron: Back from injured reserve
Herron (ankle) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.
The 25-year-old landed on injured reserve in late October but is rejoining the active roster ahead of Week 12. Herron provides some much-needed depth on the offensive line with Isaiah Wynn (knee) on injured reserve and Joe Thuney (ankle) and Shaq Mason (calf) also banged up.

Herron (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday, indicating the beginning of his 21-day window to be activated from IR, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
The rookie sixth-round pick could return to the lineup this week against the Texans depending on how he looks in practice. Herron has played in a swing tackle role and has made two starts this year. It's unsettled what his role will be once he's activated.
