Scharping and the Bengals agreed to a contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Scharping will return to the Bengals in 2023 after the team claimed him off waivers prior to the 2022 campaign. The offensive lineman played in 14 games with Cincinnati last season and will likely operate as a top depth option at guard again this year.

Scharping (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Scharping was placed on the COVID-19 list in late October but is now ready to rejoin the active roster. The 2019 second-round pick should return to his reserve role on Houston's offensive line.
