Steelers' Armon Watts: Signing with Steelers
Watts' agent, David Canter of GSE Football announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that the defensive lineman agreed to a contract with the Steelers.
Watts racked up 35 tackles for the Bears in 2022, appearing in all 17 games and starting 12. In Pittsburgh, Watts will compete with Breiden Fehoko and Montravius Adams for a starting spot at defensive tackle.

Bears' Armon Watts: Set for free agency
Watts notched three tackles in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season with 35 tackles and one sack over 17 games played.
Watts played about 30 snaps per game as a backup defensive tackle after coming off a career season in 2021 with the Vikings, when he recorded 46 tackles and five sacks. In his rotational role, he averaged two tackles per game, and he'll likely land a similar role next year. He's now an unrestricted free agent.

Armon Watts: Let go by Minnesota
The Vikings waived Watts on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Watts, a 2019 sixth-round pick, appeared in all 17 games for the Vikings last year and recorded career highs in tackles (46), sacks (five) and forced fumbles (two). The 26-year-old defensive tackle was in line for a reduced role after the offseason acquisition of Harrison Phillips, but it's still surprising to see him let go. Watts figures to garner at least some attention on the wavier wire, but he could return to Minnesota via a practice-squad deal if he goes unclaimed.

Bears' Armon Watts: Claimed by Bears
Chicago claimed Watts from waivers Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Watts is coming off a 2021 season with Minnesota in which he appeared in 16 games and recorded 46 tackles and five sacks, so it was somewhat surprising when the Vikings opted to waive him Tuesday. He should compete with Justin Jones and Angelo Blackson for regular reps at defensive tackle in 2022.
