  • Cardinals' Geoff Swaim: Links up with Arizona

Swaim is signing with the Cardinals on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Swaim has spent each of the past three seasons in Tennessee and appeared in 17 contests last year. The veteran finished with 12 receptions on 16 targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in 2022. He should compete for a backup role behind Zach Ertz (knee) and Trey McBride.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Playing time dwindles further

Swaim recorded one reception on one target for four yards in Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Eagles. Swaim played a season-low 20 snaps while continuing to give way to both Austin Hooper and Chigoziem Okonkwo. His lone catch of the game came midway through the third quarter and was not impactful. Even if Swaim sees his playing time tick back up, his primary role will almost certainly be as a blocker.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Being phased out of passing attack

Swaim failed to corral his lone target while playing 31 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Bengals. With rookie Chigoziem Okonkwo and top tight end Austin Hooper having both taken on heightened roles in the Tennessee passing attack of late, Swaim has functioned mainly as a blocker in recent weeks. After drawing seven targets across the Titans' first three games of the season, Swaim has been targeted a combined five times in Tennessee's subsequent eight contests. The lack of involvement isn't the result of any major downturn in playing time, either; Swaim has logged snap shares above 50 percent in each of those eight games.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Targeted once in win

Swaim failed to record a catch on his only target in Sunday's 17-10 win over Denver. Swaim saw his snap rate dip to 53 percent, his lowest mark since Week 2. He failed to record a catch for the fourth straight game, and even if his role rebounds, he will remain the Titans' blocking tight end.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Not targeted in loss

Swaim was not targeted in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Chiefs. As is typically the case, Swaim led the Titans' tight ends in snaps. However, his role is limited almost exclusively to blocking, as he has only reception combined across his last five games.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Not targeted in victory

Swaim was not targeted in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Texans. Swaim continued his quiet season, though that was hardly a surprise given that Malik Willis attempted only 10 passes on the day. Swaim now has zero catches in four of seven games for the campaign while serving primarily as a blocker for Tennessee.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Commands only one target

Swaim recorded no catches on one target in Sunday's 19-10 win over the Colts. Swaim maintained his typical role on offense, as he was on the field for 35 snaps -- good for a 61 percent rate. However, he also served primarily as a blocker and has now seen one or fewer targets in four of six games this season. Swaim has a total of seven receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown on the campaign.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Records one reception

Swaim recorded one catch on one target for five yards in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Commanders. As has typically been the case, Swaim led the Titans' tight-end corps in snaps. However, he spent the vast majority of his time on the field blocking and has now earned one or fewer targets in three of five games this season. For the campaign, he has seven receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Not targeted in win

Swaim was not targeted in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Colts. Swaim played 40 offensive snaps, which led the Titans' tight end corps. However, he failed to command a target, which isn't all that surprising given his primary duties are as a blocker. Through four games this season, Swaim has six receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Catches short touchdown

Swaim caught all three of his targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Raiders. Swaim led the Titans' tight ends in snaps, receptions and yards. He made his most impactful contribution of the game on a two-yard touchdown catch midway through the first quarter and also chipped in a 13-yard gain late in the second quarter. Through three games this season, Swaim has six catches for 38 yards and one touchdown.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: No stats against Bills

Swaim was not targeted in Monday's 41-7 loss to the Bills. Swaim was on the field for 27 offensive snaps and 15 special-teams snaps. However, as has been typical, Swaim was used primarily as a blocker and failed to reach the stat sheet as a result.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Catches three passes in Week 1

Swaim caught three of four targets for 19 yards during Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Giants. Swaim played five more snaps than Austin Hooper, who finished with just one catch for six yards on two targets. After the game, coach Mike Vrabel said Swaim earned his large role on offense due to the fact that "he's the best blocking tight end we have," per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site. Swaim finished last season with 32 receptions, 210 yards and three scores across 16 appearances. He's never been a prolific pass catcher, but it appears he's carved out a major role in Tennessee's offense, which doesn't bode well for Hooper's fantasy success moving forward.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Staying with Titans

The Titans have agreed to a one-year deal with Swaim, John Glennon of SI.com reports. The 28-year-old is coming off a 2021 season in which he recorded 31 catches (on 40 targets) for 210 yards and three TDs in 16 games. Swaim's fantasy upside this coming season hinges on what other moves the Titans make at tight end this offseason, given that Anthony Firkser and MyCole Pruitt are both eligible for free agency.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Ends season quietly

Swaim recorded one reception on one target for two yards in Sunday's 28-25 win over the Texans. Swaim continued to make minimal impact on the Titans' offense, as he failed to surpass 10 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive game. While he recorded at least three receptions in seven of his 16 contests, he still managed only 210 yards on 31 catches for the campaign. Meanwhile, the recent re-emergence of Anthony Firkser likely means that Swaim will only take a further step back during the Titans' playoff run. Once the season concludes, Swaim will be a free agent, though he could be a fit to return to Tennessee on a short contract.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Scores short touchdown

Swaim recorded three receptions on three targets for nine yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-3 win over Miami. Swaim recorded three catches for the third time in his last four games. Despite that decent volume, he's surpassed 10 yards only once in that span. Swaim did manage to salvage his performance on Sunday with a one-yard touchdown to open the scoring in the victory. Even so, it was only his third touchdown catch of the season heading into a Week 18 matchup at Houston.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Tallies three catches

Swaim recorded three receptions on three targets for 10 yards in Thursday's 20-17 win over San Francisco. Swaim continued to occupy the top tight end role in Tennessee, and he was on the field for 63 percent of offensive snaps. He also finished tied for second on the team with three targets, though that turned into very little production as he was limited to only short areas of the field. Swaim has recorded at least three receptions in five of his last seven games, though he has managed to top 30 receiving yards only once in that span.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Limited to one catch

Swaim recorded one catch on two targets for five yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Pittsburgh. Swaim led Tennessee's tight ends with 59 (74 percent) offensive snaps. However, he wasn't utilized heavily in the passing game and had to split targets with both Anthony Firkser and MyCole Pruitt. Swaim has been limited to only one catch in three of his last four games.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: One catch in return

Swaim recorded one reception on one target for eight yards in Sunday's 36-13 loss to the Patriots. Swaim returned from a one-game absence caused by a concussion. He was on the field for 73 percent of the team's offensive snaps but still only saw one target. Prior to missing the team's Week 11 contest, Swaim had recorded four receptions in three consecutive contests, so he could see an uptick in targets when the team retakes the field in Week 14 against Jacksonville.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Cleared for Week 12

Swaim (concussion) is listed as active Week 12 against New England. Swaim returned as a full participant in practice Friday, setting the stage for him to gain clearance in Week 12. The tight end hasn't typically been a major part of the Tennessee game plan this season, though Swaim has hauled in exactly four receptions in each of the past three weeks with the receiving corps badly shorthanded. He could be in to see a few more targets than usual this week with A.J. Brown (chest), Julio Jones (hamstring) and Marcus Johnson (hamstring) all on currently residing on injured reserve.

  • Titans' Geoff Swaim: Questionable for Week 12

Swaim (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against New England. If active this weekend, Swain would likely lead Tennessee's tight ends in playing time, but should he sit, MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser would continue to see extra snaps, with the latter considered the more prolific pass-catcher.
