Simmons (undisclosed) was designated to return from the Cardinals' practice squad injured list Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Simmons went on the practice squad injured list Oct. 6 with an undisclosed issue. Now that he's been designated to return, he'll be able to practice and can be elevated to the 53-man roster.

Simmons will be forced to sit out the next four weeks. Once healthy, Simmons will be eligible to return to practice and continue trying to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.

Bears' Lachavious Simmons: Comes off COVID-19 list
The Bears activated Simmons (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Simmons tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 8, but he's now managed to clear all required medical benchmarks. He'll be eligible to suit up in a depth role when Chicago next returns to action Nov. 29 at Green Bay.
