  • Vikings' N'Keal Harry: Sticking around Minnesota

Harry signed a reserve/future contract with the Vikings on Monday, Craig Peters of the team's official website reports.

Harry joined the Vikings' practice squad ahead of the 2023 campaign, failing to record a catch while appearing in nine games with the team during the year. The wide receiver will now look to crack their initial 53-man roster ahead of the 2024 season.

  • N'Keal Harry: Back with Minnesota

Harry signed with the Vikings' practice squad Monday.

Harry was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday when they activated Justin Jefferson (hamstring) from injured reserve. The 2019 first-round selection has appeared in nine games for Minnesota this season, but he has logged only 20 snaps on offense an has yet to see a target. He'll likely need another injury to the Vikings' receiving corps to get another chance with the active roster.

The Vikings waived Harry on Tuesday.

With Justin Jefferson (hamstring) activated from injured reserve Tuesday and due back following the Vikings' Week 13 bye, Harry was no longer needed. In nine games with Minnesota, Harry played 23 offensive snaps and another 49 on special teams. He didn't earn a single pass-game target.

  • Vikings' N'Keal Harry: Joins Minnesota's roster

Minnesota signed Harry off its practice squad Wednesday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.

Harry and Trishton Jackson were both added to the roster to provide additional depth in a receiving corps that will be without superstar Justin Jefferson (hamstring) for at least four weeks following Jefferson's placement on injured reserve Wednesday. Jordan Addison and K.J. Osborn will work as the team's top two wide receivers, while Harry is unlikely to make significant contributions for however long he sticks on the 53-man roster. Between stops with New England and Chicago through his first four professional seasons, Harry has averaged 17 receiving yards over 42 games.

  • N'Keal Harry: Moved back to practice squad

Minnesota reverted Harry to its practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Harry was elevated to the active roster each of the past two weeks, with most of his work coming on special teams, though he did get one offensive snap Week 5 against Kansas City. There could be an opportunity for the former Patriot and Bear to be elevated again Week 6 and potentially see more work if Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is unable to play, though he'd presumably still be looking at minimal snaps behind at least K.J. Osborn, Jordan Addison and Brandon Powell.

Harry was released by the Vikings on Thursday, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Harry was previously dealing with a soft-tissue injury, although it's unclear if that impacted his release. The veteran wideout has yet to live up to his draft expectations, with a 2020 campaign where he produced 33 catches for 309 yards for the Patriots serving as the high-water mark of his career thus far. He'll now likely seek an opportunity elsewhere.
