  • Raiders' Anthony Brown: Lands with Las Vegas

The Raiders signed Brown to a reserve/future contract Monday. Brown joined the Ravens' practice squad Aug. 30 after losing out on the No. 3 quarterback spot to Josh Johnson during training camp. Brown was let go by the team Sept. 4 and did not manage to join a team during the 2023 season. Now on a reserve/future deal with the Raiders, Brown will have a chance to compete for a roster spot over the summer.

  • Anthony Brown: Returns to Baltimore

Brown is signing with the Ravens' practice squad Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Brown was waived by Baltimore on Tuesday after losing a battle to serve as a backup quarterback. However, the Oregon product will be in the mix to join the active roster if the Ravens need additional depth under center at some point in 2023.

  • Ravens' Anthony Brown: Two picks in first career start

Brown completed 19 of 44 passes for 286 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals. Brown made his first career start with both Tyler Huntley (shoulder) and Lamar Jackson (knee) sidelined. The Ravens showed no hesitation in letting him take to the air, though he managed only 6.5 yards per attempt and threw two interceptions that led directly to Bengals' touchdowns. Baltimore and Cincinnati will meet up again in the wild-card round, though it would be surprising to see Brown under center again.

  • Ravens' Anthony Brown: Candidate for Week 18 start

Brown took the reps with the first-team offense during practice this week and could start Sunday in Cincinnati if Tyler Huntley (shoulder/wrist) -- who is listed as questionable -- isn't available, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Top quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) has already been ruled out for a fifth straight game, and though Huntley is the next man up on the depth chart, he wasn't able to do much throwing in practice this week while he manages right shoulder tendinitis. Though Baltimore has some playoff positioning at stake in Week 18, the team is most likely to wind up as the AFC's No. 6 seed and take on the Bengals in a rematch during the wild-card round, so head coach John Harbaugh could choose to err on the side of caution and hold Huntley out. The Ravens elevated a fourth quarterback (Brett Hundley) to the roster Saturday, potentially setting the stage for Hundley to back up Brown while Huntley sits out. Resolution on the Ravens' plans at quarterback should come when the team releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but Brown looks like he may have a chance at seeing his first extended NFL action. The undrafted rookie out of Oregon's lone appearance to date came against the Steelers back in Week 14, when he completed three of five pass attempts for 16 yards.

  • Ravens' Anthony Brown: Rejoins active roster

The Ravens promoted Brown from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Saturday's matchup with Atlanta, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Brown presumably will be the backup to Tyler Huntley, who is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury but is expected to make the start. Lamar Jackson (knee) is out for a third consecutive week.

  • Anthony Brown: Returns to practice squad

Brown reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Brown was activated to serve as Baltimore's backup quarterback for the second game in a row with Lamar Jackson out due to a PCL sprain. However, the rookie never saw the field behind Tyler Huntley, who once again started in place of Jackson. Brown will now be eligible for one more elevation from the practice squad this season, which the Ravens will likely exercise should Jackson remain sidelined against Atlanta on Saturday.

  • Ravens' Anthony Brown: Elevated from practice squad

Brown has been elevated from the Ravens' practice squad ahead of Saturday's game against the Browns, Field Yates of ESPN reports. With Lamar Jackson still out with a knee injury, Brown is in line to back up Tyler Huntley (who has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol) on Saturday. In relief of Huntley in Week 14 against the Steelers, Brown completed three of five passes for 16 yards and added three carries for minus-five yards.

  • Ravens' Anthony Brown: Moves back to practice squad

Brown reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday. Brown served as Baltimore's backup quarterback in Week 14 against the Steelers with Lamar Jackson sidelined due to a PCL sprain. However, he was forced into action after starter Tyler Huntley went out with a concussion in the second half. As a result, Brown stepped in for 23 of the team's 61 offensive snaps, completing three of five passes for 16 yards to go along with three carries for minus-5 yards in his NFL debut. While the rookie signal-caller was not asked to do much against Pittsburgh, he's likely next in line to start if Jackson does not return in time for Saturday's game versus Cleveland. Either way, Brown will almost certainly be elevated from the practice squad for the second game in a row Week 15.

  • Ravens' Anthony Brown: Enters in relief

Brown completed three of five passes for 16 yards in Sunday's 16-14 win over the Steelers. He added three rushes for minus-five yards. Brown entered the game midway through the third quarter after Tyler Huntley (concussion) was forced out. He failed to move the offense, and the Ravens were instead content to allow the Steelers to make mistakes to pave the path to victory. If Huntley is unable to return for a Week 15 matchup against the Browns, any pass catchers for the Ravens will be difficult to trust.
