Panthers' Jeremy Chinn: Compiles seven tackles
Chinn notched seven tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons.
Chinn tied for second on the team in tackles in the season opener, playing 73 percent of the defensive snaps. The cornerback has become one of Carolina's best players and he'll look to keep producing at a high level in his fourth campaign with the Panthers.

Panthers' Jeremy Chinn: New role in 2023
Chinn's primary role on the Panthers' defense in 2023 will be nickelback, Darin Gantt of the team's official website reports.
Chinn played linebacker as a rookie and safety the subsequent two years, but he is now set to morph into a quasi-corner role who is closer to the line of scrimmage and asked to cover more. The 25-year-old feels comfortable in what he is being asked to do, and the Panthers think they have finally found the right role for him. He recorded 70 tackles (51 solo), six passes defensed and one sack across 11 games in 2022.

Panthers' Jeremy Chinn: Injury-marred 2022 campaign
Chinn made 70 tackles (51 solo), one sack and defended six passes while playing only 11 games in the 2022 season.
Chinn's streak of 100-plus tackle campaigns ended in his third year, as a hamstring injury forced him to miss a significant chunk of the campaign. When healthy, Chinn was his usual productive self, with his six pass breakups actually marking a career high. With 2023 representing the final year of the 2020 second-round pick's rookie deal, Chinn will be shooting for a pay day and a good bill of health in order to return to his previous heights.

Panthers' Jeremy Chinn: Modest outing in blowout win
Chinn logged six tackles (five solo) and one pass defended in Saturday's 37-23 win over the Lions.
Chinn tied with linebacker Shaq Thompson for the Panthers' most tackles in Week 16 despite this relatively modest performance. The safety also posted his third pass defended in three weeks, and he now has five over nine games played. Chinn should have a chance to put up continued prolific stats versus Tampa Bay in Week 17.
