Bills' Ed Oliver: Logs sack in win
Oliver recorded four tackles, including one sack, and two passes defensed in Saturday's 35-13 win over the Bears.
After entering Saturday's matchup in Chicago with a questionable tag due to a calf issue, Oliver ultimately played 68 percent of Buffalo's defensive snaps and collected his first sack since Week 12. The 25-year-old will continue operating in his usual rotational role on the Bills' defensive line next Monday night in Cincinnati.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Will suit up Saturday
Oliver (calf) is listed as active for the Bills' clash in Chicago on Saturday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Oliver logged a limited practice Wednesday followed by a DNP on Thursday leading up to Saturday's contest against the Bears, and he entered the weekend questionable to play. However, he's apparently feeling well enough to take part in the cross-conference contest. Oliver is expected to slot in as a starter at defensive tackle, where he played 72 percent of Buffalo's defensive snaps against Miami last week.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Might miss Saturday's game
Oliver (calf) is listed as questionable to play Saturday against Chicago.
Oliver appeared with a calf injury on Wednesday's injury report that limited him during that day's practice. It now appears this issue has gotten worse, as he did not participate in Thursday's preparatory sessions and could be in line to miss his first game since Week 5. With fellow defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (shoulder) also listed as questionable after logging three limited sessions Week 16, the Bills could turn to DaQuan Jones and Tim Settle to take on bigger roles against Chicago's run-heavy offense.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Logs full practice Thursday
Oliver (pectoral) was a full participant in practice Thursday and does not carry an injury status ahead of Sunday's game against Miami.
Oliver suffered a pec injury during Buffalo's Week 14 win over the Jets, though he still played his usual share of defensive snaps in this contest. He was then limited in the the team's sessions Tuesday and Wednesday, and he'll now shed this injury designation ahead of the Bills' divisional matchup with Miami. With fellow defensive tackle Jordan Phillips ruled out due to a shoulder injury, Oliver could see even further usage alongside DaQuan Jones and Tim Settle in Week 15.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Listed as limited Tuesday
Oliver (pectoral) was listed as limited for Tuesday's walkthrough practice.
Oliver was expected to be day-to-day this week, according to head coach Sean McDermott, as reported by Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo on Monday. With a short week ahead, Oliver will not have as much time to prepare to be ready for Saturday's game with the Dolphins; however, being able to get on the practice field Tuesday for the walkthrough should be a sign he's moving in a positive direction.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Suffers injury Sunday
Oliver (chest) is day-to-day heading into Week 15, according to head coach Sean McDermott, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Oliver handled his typical workload in Sunday's win over the Jets, recording four tackles along the way, but he apparently also suffered a chest injury. With Jordan Phillips (shoulder) also nursing an injury, the interior of the Bills defensive line is banged up heading into Saturday's game with the Dolphins. However, Oliver will spend the week ahead preparing to be ready to suit up.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Feasts on Thanksgiving
Oliver posted six total tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in Thursday's win over the Lions.
The first-rounder from 2019 is starting to come into his own. The Bills run a heavy rotation along their strong defensive line, but injuries have put more pressure on Oliver and he's seen 66-plus percent of the defensive snaps the last three games, his three highest totals of the season. Oliver has also posted 11 tackles over the past two games, strong work for an interior defender. With Oliver past his early season ankle issue and being leaned on more heavily as the season wears on, he can be of help in IDP formats that force people to use defensive tackles.
