The Vikings signed Jackson to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Jackson spent the entirety of the 2022 season on Minnesota's practice squad after he failed to carve out a spot on the active roster during the preseason. The 2020 undrafted wideout will now sign his second reserve/future contract with the Vikings in as many years. However, the 23-year-old was unable to secure a spot after being sidelined for nearly two weeks of training camp with a leg injury. The Syracuse product made the Rams' initial 53-man roster to start the 2020 campaign, but he remained inactive all season. He is a likely candidate to join the Rams' practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Rams' Trishton Jackson: Racks up 48 yards
Jackson recorded three receptions on five targets for 48 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.
Jackson had been held out of practice since Aug. 17 with a knee injury. However, he managed to return to the field in time for the team's final preseason game. All three of his receptions went for double-digit gains, the longest of which was 23 yards. Jackson received positive reports for his play throughout training camp, though it's far from a lock that he will be on the roster for the team's Week 1 matchup against the Bears.

A late-bloomer at Syracuse, Jackson piled up 66 receptions, 1,023 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns over 12 games in his final season with the Orange. While he wasn't active for a single game this year for the Rams, there projects to be some offseason turnover at wide receiver, and Jackson will compete for playing time in training camp. Just note, he's a long shot to carve out a meaningful role and return fantasy value out of the gate next September.
