  • Seahawks' Julian Love: Signs with Seattle

Love and the Seahawks agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After four seasons with the Giants, Love is moving on to Seattle in 2023. The safety has increased his production each year of his career, producing 124 tackles, including a sack, while also recording five pass deflections, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over 16 games in 2022. Love will step right into a significant role in the Seahawks' talented secondary.

  • Giants' Julian Love: Records multiple career-best marks

Love finished the regular season with 124 tackles (79 solo), one sack, two interceptions, five pass defenses and a forced fumble across 16 games.

Love came into his own as an IDP asset this season, setting career-high marks in stops, INTs and sacks. Not coincidentally, he also tallied the most snaps (955) of his career and mostly maintained good health, sitting out only one game -- he was rested in New York's season finale in order to get a breather before the postseason. Love notched double-digit tackles in four different contests, highlighted by a 14-stop performance against Dallas in Week 3. He'll be a free agent after the campaign, and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports that the Giants hope to bring him back into the fold following his success this season.

  • Giants' Julian Love: Healthy scratch Sunday

Love (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Love will get to rest with the team locked into the No. 6 seed of the NFC playoffs. In his absence, Landon Collins will likely draw the start at strong safety.

  • Giants' Julian Love: Finishes with seven tackles Sunday

Love posted seven stops (three solo) in Sunday's Week 15 victory versus the Commanders.

Love saw his three-game double-digit tackle streak come to an end, but he was still steady with seven stops. The fourth-year pro has hit that mark in each of his past eight games and 11 times overall through 14 contests this season. He has a modest two interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble on the campaign, but Love is a strong IDP play due to his high floor as a tackler.

  • Giants' Julian Love: Crosses 100-tackle threshold

Love had 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 48-22 loss to the Eagles.

Love took a bad angle on a fourth down deep ball to DeVonta Smith in the second quarter, resulting in a 41-yard touchdown that gave the Eagles a 14-0 lead. Outside of that uncharacteristic mistake, the 24-year-old safety was productive as usual, reaching double digits in tackles for a third consecutive game to bring his season total to 107 (70 solo).
