  • Chase Allen: Waived by Chicago

The Bears waived Allen on Tuesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Allen signed with the Bears in May as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State, where he caught 26 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games during his final collegiate season. The 6-foot-6 tight end caught both of his targets for six yards across three preseason games and now finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline.
