  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Back with G-Men

Hodgins agreed to a contract with the Giants on Thursday. Hodgins has spent the majority of the last two seasons with the Giants and had flashes of productivity late in the 2022 campaign. New York didn't tender him a contract as a restricted free agent, but the sides have agreed to new terms. The addition of Isaiah McKenzie this offseason could push Hodgins further down the wide receiver depth chart, and the team is also rumored to be interested in some of the top pass catchers in this year's draft class. Given that, Hodgins' role with the Giants is currently unclear.

  • Isaiah Hodgins: Hitting open market

Hodgins will be an unrestricted free agent after the Giants opted not to give him a restricted free-agent tender Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Hodgins caught on with the Bills as an undrafted rookie in 2021 before making his way to the Giants midway through the 2022 season. He had at least 29 yards in each of his eight games for the Giants in 2022, but then managed just 230 yards over 17 games and 511 snaps in 2023. While the team decided he's not valuable enough to warrant the lowest RFA tender ($2.99 million), Hodgins could still return to the Giants on a lesser contract.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Falls back to depth role in 2023

Hodgins recorded three catches for 36 yards on three targets in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Eagles. Hodgins ascended to a spot near the top of the depth chart by the end of the 2022 campaign, but he saw his role diminish in 2023. By Week 4, Hodgins had been surpassed in the receiving pecking order by other options, and he logged less than half of the team's offensive snaps in six of his final seven contests. He maxed out at four catches and 40 yards -- both in Week 2 against Arizona -- over his 17 appearances on the season, ultimately finishing with a 21-230-3 receiving line on 33 targets. The Giants' paltry passing game played a part in Hodgins' decreased output, but it was also evident that the wideout isn't likely to be a difference-maker in an NFL offense. Hodgins is set to be a restricted free agent this spring, and it's far from a certainty that he'll be tendered.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Finishes without target Monday

Hodgins was not targeted in the Giants' Week 17 loss to the Eagles on Monday. For the second straight week, Hodgins completed a game without logging any receptions. He received one target last Sunday versus New Orleans before being shut out entirely against Philadelphia. Hodgins came down with an illness over the weekend that may have impacted his production, but even when 100 percent this season he's failed to make a meaningful impact. Hodgins hasn't had more than three catches or 24 receiving yards in a game since Week 2, and he's been held without a reception seven times over 13 contests during that span.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Will play Monday

Hodgins (illness) is active Monday against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Hodgins fell ill Sunday, prompting his late addition to the team's injury report a day ahead of their Week 16 divisional clash. However, the 25-year-old has made enough progress in the last 24 hours that he'll take the field and work to contribute in the passing game from the lower end of the Giants' wide receiver depth chart.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Gets season-low snap count

Hodgins went without a target while playing 18 of the Giants' 77 snaps on offense in Sunday's 14-9 loss to the Bills. Though Hodgins was credited with a start after opening the game on the field for the Giants' first possession, he ultimately finished fourth among New York receivers in terms of playing time. With snap shares of 40 percent or lower in three consecutive games, Hodgins appears to have moved into more of a depth role while rookie third-round pick Jalin Hyatt has been seeing more work at his expense.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Gets just three targets Week 4

Hodgins caught all three of his targets for 24 yards against the Seahawks in a 24-3 loss on Monday Night Football. Hodgins finished as the third-leading receiver for New York in terms of yardage behind running back Matt Breida and Wan'Dale Robinson. However, the 24-year-old also got just three targets and was on the field for fewer snaps than fellow wideouts Darius Slayton, Robinson and rookie Jalin Hyatt, per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv. Hodgins entered the campaign near the top of an unsettled wide receiver depth chart but may be drifting down the pecking order as the Giants try to ignite their passing game. Through four weeks, Hodgins has just eight catches (on 12 targets) for 88 yards.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Shut out Thursday

Hodgins failed to catch his only target in a Week 3 loss to San Francisco on Thursday. Hodgins was on the field for two-thirds of New York's offensive snaps, but he got only one target. The wideout hauled in a touchdown against Arizona in Week 2 but has notched just one catch over his other two games combined. The pecking order among Giants receivers continues to be unsettled and was further complicated Thursday by the season debut of Wan'Dale Robinson, who caught four of five targets for 21 yards. Head coach Brian Daboll has shown a willingness in the past to shake up the receiver depth chart based on individual performance, so Hodgins could begin to lose playing time if he doesn't amp up his production.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Fumbles away only catch

Hodgins caught one of three targets for 24 yards and lost a fumble against the Cowboys in a blowout Week 1 loss Sunday. Hodgins and Parris Campbell were the two receivers on the field for the Giants on their first offensive possession, with Darren Waller at tight end and Daniel Bellinger at fullback. That suggested Hodgins' place atop the wideout pecking order, but it didn't lead to much production, as he logged just one reception in the loss. That catch was a 24-yarder in the third quarter that he subsequently fumbled away to Dallas. There won't be many positive takeaways from this performance for New York, and Hodgins actually ranked second on the team with his 24 receiving yards, so chances are that he'll be on the field to open next Sunday's game in Arizona as the Giants look to reset following the embarrassing season-opening defeat.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Week 1 Waiver Priority List

The Giants have a new top target in Darren Waller this season, and Wan'Dale Robinson and Sterling Shepard being healthy to open the year is a positive, as well as the additions of Parris Campbell and rookie Jalin Hyatt. But Hodgins should be locked into a starting role as an outside receiver, and he was great to end last year when he scored at least 14.2 PPR points in four of his final five games of the regular season. Daniel Jones trusts him, and Fantasy managers could be surprised with his production again. He's a good late-round flier and someone to add with 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Leading receiver in win

Hodgins caught two of four targets for 45 yards in Friday's preseason win over the Panthers. He played most of the first half and led the Giants in receiving yards, catching one pass each from starting quarterback Daniel Jones and backup Tyrod Taylor. Hodgins had a strong finish to 2022 as he established abundant chemistry with Jones, but New York's offseason additions to its wideout corps -- including free agent Parris Campbell and third-round pick Jalin Hyatt -- give him plenty of competition for targets this season.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Part of crowded WR room

Hodgins caught his only target for 13 yards in Friday's 21-16 preseason loss to the Lions. Hodgins caught a pass from backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor on New York's second possession. The 24-year-old wide receiver excelled after being picked up by the Giants midseason in 2022, scoring five touchdowns in 10 games between the regular season and playoffs. Hodgins could pick up where he left off as the No. 1 wide receiver for the Giants in 2023, but he faces plenty of competition for playing time in a receiving corps that also features holdovers Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard (knee) and Wan'Dale Robinson (knee), rookie third-round pick Jalin Hyatt and offseason signing Parris Campbell.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Re-signs with Giants

The Giants re-signed Hodgins to a one-year contract Thursday. Hodgins, 24, was scheduled to be an exclusive rights free agent but is returning to the Giants after being claimed off waivers from the Bills in November. He quickly evolved into an every-down receiver for New York and was a prominent red-zone target for Daniel Jones. Hodgins finished the season with 33 catches for 351 yards and four touchdowns in eight games with the Giants and caught nine more balls for 108 yards and one score in two playoff contests. He should face more competition for targets and playing time in 2023, assuming the Giants find much-needed upgrades at the position.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Limited in Tuesday's walk-through

Hodgins was a limited participant Tuesday in the Giants' walk-through practice due to an ankle injury, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports. Hodgins is tending to an injury in the aftermath of this past Sunday's 31-24 win over the Vikings in the wild-card round, but the ankle issue isn't anything that's expected to keep him off the field in Saturday's matchup with the Eagles in the divisional round. In the victory over the Vikings, Hodgins played 91 percent of the Giants' snaps on offense and finished with eight catches for a career-high 105 yards and a touchdown on nine targets.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Tops century mark against Vikings

Hodgins caught eight of nine targets for 105 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 wild-card win over the Vikings. The 24-year-old's second-half breakout carried on into the playoffs as Hodgins recorded his first career 100-yard performance at the best possible time. He also found his way into the end zone for the fifth time in his last six games, hauling in a 14-yard toss from Daniel Jones late in the first quarter to give the Giants their first lead of the day. One of those earlier TDs came against the same Eagles secondary Hodgins will be facing in the divisional round, part of the 4-38-1 line on six targets he amassed in a Week 14 loss.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Scores again Sunday

Hodgins recorded four catches on five targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' Week 17 win over the Colts on Sunday. Hodgins' volume was modest, though he did tie for second on the team in receiving yards and finished second with four catches and five targets. However, the wideout once again got into the end zone, connecting with quarterback Daniel Jones for a six-yard score in the second quarter. The touchdown was Hodgins' fourth in his past five games, and he has caught at least four passes each week during that stretch. That gives him a decent floor from a fantasy perspective, though it's uncertain how New York will deploy its players Week 18 against Philadelphia. The Giants clinched a playoff berth with the win over the Colts and have nothing to gain with a victory next Sunday.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Career-best performance

Hodgins caught eight of 11 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings. The TD came on a seven-yard toss from Daniel Jones in the second quarter, giving Hodgins his third score in the last four games, while his catches and yards were both career highs. A sixth-round pick of the Bills in 2020, Hodgins has arguably been Jones' most trusted receiver over the last month, posting a 21-208-3 line on 27 targets in those four games ahead of a Week 17 matchup with the Colts.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Another touchdown in loss

Hodgins brought in four of six targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' 48-22 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Hodgins once again found a way to be a bright spot despite the ugly loss for the Giants, recording a touchdown grab for the second straight week. Hodgins has at least three receptions in four straight games and has moved into a steady complementary role in a makeshift New York receiving corps.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Week 14 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Hodgins starts to get a bigger role for the Giants, who need help in their receiving corps. He has 10 targets in his past two games against Dallas and Washington, and he had five catches for 44 yards and a touchdown against the Commanders. In deeper leagues, it's worth taking a look at Hodgins for 1 percent of your remaining FAB, although he has a tough matchup against Philadelphia in Week 14.

  • Bills' Isaiah Hodgins: Highly involved in limited snaps

Hodgins recorded four receptions for 41 yards on six targets while playing 12 snaps on offense in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Steelers. Suiting up in just his second NFL game after being signed off the practice squad Saturday, Hodgins proved to be a popular target for both Josh Allen and Case Keenum during his limited time on the field. Though he was efficient with his opportunities, Hodgins didn't have a role on special teams in the resounding win, which could be detrimental to his chances of dressing most weeks when the Bills have more healthy receivers available. Isaiah McKenzie (concussion) and Jake Kumerow (ankle) were both sidelined Week 5, and if the two are available for the Bills' Week 6 matchup with the Chiefs, Hodgins may find himself as the sixth man on the depth chart.
