  • Saints' Jordan Mims: Sticking with New Orleans

Mims signed a reserve/future contract with the Saints on Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Mims spent the 2023 campaign on and off of the Saints' practice squad, failing to record any stats while garnering two targets over three offensive snaps in two games with the active roster. The running back will stick around New Orleans for the offseason and will have a chance to earn a spot on the 53-man roster ahead of the 2024 season.

  • Saints' Jordan Mims: Elevated to active roster

The Saints elevated Mims to the active roster Saturday. Mims' elevation is an insurance move for the Saints with Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller both listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons with ankle injuries. Mims rejoined New Orleans via its practice squad Oct. 23 after being waived from the active roster four days prior. He played in Week 6 against the Texans, when he played four snaps on special teams and did not record a stat.

  • Jordan Mims: Does not make cut

Mims was waived by the Bills on Monday, Alec White of the team's official website reports. Mims was competing for the No. 3 running back role with Latavius Murray behind James Cook and Damien Harris. He ultimately came up short, but the undrafted free agent will be a likely candidate to be offered a practice squad role with the team.

  • Bills' Jordan Mims: Out Saturday

Mims is in concussion protocol and will not play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Bears, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports. Mims left Wednesday's practice after a hit to the mouth that apparently led to a concussion. He is likely on the outside looking in when it comes to making it through final cuts, but that decision has not officially been made yet. Still, he will need to clear the league's concussion protocol before returning to contact drills in practice.

  • Bills' Jordan Mims: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Mims didn't practice Wednesday after getting hit in the mouth during Tuesday's practice, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. Mims' absence is unlikely to last much longer, as the rookie undrafted free agent out of Fresno State will look to get back in action for Buffalo's preseason finale against the Bears on Saturday. He's unlikely to make the Bills' 53-man roster, and this absence won't help Mims' chances.
