Buccaneers' David Moore: Gets new opportunity
Moore signed a contract with the Buccaneers on Sunday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Moore was in training camp with the Bears in 2022, but he suffered a leg injury that forced him to miss the season. The 28-year-old spent 2021 with the Packers and Broncos, although he was unable to make much of an impact after his four years in Seattle. He'll work to earn a depth role in Tampa Bay's receiving corps.

David Moore: Released from injured reserve
The Bears released Moore (lower leg) from injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Moore was slated to miss the entire 2022 campaign after landing on injured reserve, but he'll now have a chance to play again this season after he clears his current injury. The 2017 seventh-round pick caught 78 passes for 1,163 yards and 13 touchdowns during a three-year stretch in Seattle, but he appeared in just three games last year -- two with Denver and one with Green Bay.

Bears' David Moore: Placed on injured reserve
Moore (lower leg) was placed on IR on Sunday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Moore was carted off the field during practice Aug. 9. The 27-year-old's absence for the 2022 season is another blow to the Bears' wide receiver corps, who will already start the season without N'Keal Harry (ankle), while Byron Pringle (quadriceps) has also missed time.

Bears' David Moore: Carted off practice field
Moore was carted off the field after suffering an apparent lower body injury during 1-on-1 drills Tuesday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Moore reportedly had difficulty putting weight on his right leg. The timing of the injury, especially if it is ultimately deemed significant, is brutal for Chicago's already-thin wide receiver corps. N'Keal Harry is believed to be nursing a high-ankle sprain, while Velus Jones (undisclosed) and Byron Pringle (quadriceps) have also sat out recent practices. As Saturday's preseason opener against Kansas City approaches, the top healthy options behind Darnell Mooney are Equanimeous St. Brown, Dazz Newsome, Dante Pettis and Tajae Sharpe.

Bears' David Moore: Struggling with drops
Moore has had many dropped passes, both in one-on-one drills as well as in full-squad snaps, Gene Chamberlain of SI.com reports.
After averaging 387 yards and and four touchdowns with the Seahawks between 2018 and 2020, Moore played in just three games (and 23 snaps) with the Broncos and Packers last year. During camp, he's struggled with drops, which will likely put him in a difficult position as he tries to earn a roster spot with the Bears.

Bears' David Moore: Arrested in Texas
Moore was arrested Monday in Gainesville, Texas on drug and weapons charges, CBS 12 Sherman reports.
Moore was released from Cooke County Jail on Monday on $5,000 bond, but he still could face discipline from the NFL in light of the arrest. The 27-year-old wideout joined the Bears on a one-year deal in April after appearing in three games between stops in Denver and Green Bay in 2021 and playing 31 snaps in total.

Bears' David Moore: Signs with Chicago
Moore has signed with the Bears.
Moore will join Chicago after previously participating in the team's voluntary minicamp as a tryout player this past week. The 2017 seventh-round pick appeared in three total games while playing with the Broncos and Packers in 2021 and is coming off his first season without recording a reception since his rookie campaign. These poor results may be somewhat of an outlier for Moore however, as the 27-year-old hauled in 78 passes for 1,163 yards and 13 touchdowns over 46 games with the Seahawks from 2018 to 2020. This coming season he'll look to carve out a role in a Bears wideout corps that also includes Darnell Mooney, Byron Pringle and Equanimeous St. Brown.
