Davis (ankle) was waived by the Giants with an injury designation Monday. Davis suffered the injury in Saturday's preseason game against the Jets and needed to be carted off the field. Assuming he clears waivers, the 2021 third-round selection will then revert to IR. Giants' Wyatt Davis: Will not return
Davis was carted off the field with a lower right leg injury during Saturday's preseason game against the Jets, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Davis left the field with an aircast on his lower right leg and has officially been ruled out of Saturday's game, per Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site. The 24-year-old has spent time with Minnesota, Arizona, New Orleans and New York throughout his two-year NFL career. Giants' Wyatt Davis: Stays with Giants
The Giants re-signed Davis on Monday, Matt Citak of the team's official site reports. Davis was a third-round pick by the Vikings in 2021 but never developed in Minnesota. He appeared in one game each for the Cardinals, Saints and Giants last season and was an exclusive rights free agent. Davis will compete for a depth role in camp this summer.... See More ... See Less
