Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: One catch against Rams
Parkinson caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Rams.
Parkinson played 21 offensive snaps, which was more than Will Dissly (14) but fewer than Noah Fant (25). None of the tight ends were effective for fantasy purposes, but it was a sluggish day for the Seahawks altogether. Fantasy managers shouldn't depend on Parkinson, as he'll struggle to get targets with a loaded receiver corps.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: One catch in preseason opener
Parkinson caught his only target for 10 yards in Thursday's 24-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
Parkinson's catch came on Seattle's second drive. He's competing for playing time in a deep tight end room that also features Noah Fant and Will Dissly. The 24-year-old Parkinson had 322 yards and two touchdowns in the 2022 regular season. Seattle's next preseason game will be Aug. 19 against Dallas.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Excellent usage to end season
Parkinson caught three of six targets for 14 yards in Saturday's 41-23 playoff loss to the 49ers.
Parkinson's usage immediately skyrocketed when Will Dissly (knee) went down with a knee injury, as he played at 79 percent of the offensive snaps over the final two regular-season games. He also recorded 16 targets over the final three games, including the postseason. Most importantly, he ran ahead of former first-round pick Noah Fant in all three of those games. Parkinson still never posted more than 47 yards in a game all season. The Seahawks' tight end room will be tough to decipher heading into the 2023 season, as Parkinson, Fant and Dissly are all projected to be on the roster again.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Remains top tight end in Seattle
Parkinson caught two of three targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams.
Parkinson's Week 17 usage wasn't a fluke. He operated as the top tight end ahead of Noah Fant for a second straight game Sunday, as Parkinson handled 55 snaps (79 percent) while Fant clocked in at 45 snaps (64 percent). The usage is certainly intriguing, so Parkinson has a chance to be the No. 3 pass catcher behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in Seattle in any given week.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Operates as No. 1 tight end
Parkinson caught five of six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jets.
Parkinson worked as the Seahawks' clear No. 3 tight end all season behind Will Dissly and Noah Fant. Dissly since has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, but instead of shifting to the No. 2 role, Parkinson operated as the top TE in Week 17. Parkinson played 80 percent of the offensive snaps while Fant was targeted three times and handled a 63 percent share. It's worth monitoring this usage again Week 18, and Parkinson is worth keeping tabs on.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Increased role ahead
Parkinson should handle an increased workload moving forward following news that Will Dissly (knee) was placed on injured reserve, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Dissly could become available later in the playoffs if the Seahawks make it, but he won't return during the regular season. Last week, Parkinson handled a season-high 30 offensive snaps and produced three catches (four targets) for 45 yards. The 2020 fourth-round pick could handle an even larger workload in Week 17 versus the Jets as the No. 2 tight end behind Noah Fant (knee).... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Best performance of 2022
Parkinson caught three of four targets for 45 yards in Saturday's 24-10 loss to the Chiefs.
With Tyler Lockett (hand) out of the lineup and Marquise Goodwin leaving briefly with a wrist injury, Parkinson handled a season-high 30 offensive snaps and finished with season highs in catches and receiving yards. Most notably, he played more snaps than veteran Will Dissly. We should expect Dissly to reclaim the No. 2 role because he's a skilled run-blocker, but this is a competition worth keeping tabs on in deeper fantasy leagues.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: Two targets in Week 14 loss
Parkinson hauled in one of his two targets for a 10-yard gain in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Panthers.
He played 17 snaps in the Week 14 loss, finishing third behind Noah Fant (29) and Will Dissly (21) among the Seahawks' tight ends. So long as Fant and Dissly are available, Parkinson is unlikely to see enough playing time to be a reliable starting option in the majority of fantasy leagues.... See More ... See Less
Seahawks' Colby Parkinson: No targets in loss
Parkinson went without a target while playing 16 of the Seahawks' 65 snaps on offense in Sunday's 40-34 overtime loss to the Raiders.
After seeing at least one target in each of the Seahawks' previous five games, Parkinson didn't draw any looks from quarterback Geno Smith, who attempted 37 passes on the day. Parkinson is behind Will Dissly and Noah Fant on the depth chart at tight end and can't be counted on to be a regular fantasy factor while the latter two options are available.... See More ... Parkinson produced just 49 receiving yards through his first two seasons in the league, but he managed to produce a career high in receiving yards and score his first career touchdown in Week 1.
