Schlottmann participated in training camp Wednesday, Will Ragatz of MSN.com reports.

Schlottmann suffered a fractured fibula, which required surgery to repair, during Week 17 of last season. The 27-year-old appears to be fully recovered now, as he was earning second-team reps in practice.

Schlottman (lower leg) re-signed with the Vikings on Thursday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.

  • Vikings' Austin Schlottmann: Making progress in recovery

Schlottmann (lower leg) will begin rehabbing in early March and is expected to be fully healthy for the 2023 season, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Schlottmann underwent successful surgery in early January to repair a fractured fibula, and he's since shed his walking boot. Assuming he indeed is ready for the start of the season, he should compete for a depth role on the Vikings offensive line, if not a starting position.

  • Vikings' Austin Schlottmann: Scheduled for surgery

Schlottmann, who was placed on IR on Tuesday, will require surgery to repair a fractured fibula suffered in Sunday's loss to the Packers, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.

Schlottmann's move to IR essentially ended his season, although he'd technically be eligible to be activated if the Vikings were to make it to the Super Bowl. However, the 27-year-old will likely focus on recovering over the next several weeks and preparing to return healthy next season. With Garrett Bradbury (back) also ailing, the Vikings are down their top options at center and have turned to veteran Greg Mancz, who was signed Tuesday, to likely take over the position.

  • Vikings' Austin Schlottmann: Bound for injured reserve

The Vikings placed Schlottmann (lower leg) on injured reserve Tuesday, Carmen Vitali of Fox Sports reports.

Schlottmann, who suffered a fractured fibula in Sunday's loss the Packers, has since moved to Minnesota's injured reserve and he'll now miss at least the next four matchups. Although it sounds unlikely the 300-pounder will be available for the Super Bowl should the Vikings make a deep postseason run, the team signed veteran center Greg Mancz to its active roster Tuesday, while usual starter Garrett Bradbury (back) could be back come playoff time.

Schlottmann sustained a broken fibula during Sunday's loss at Green Bay, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Schlottmann was carted off the field in the first quarter and eventually was ruled out with what was termed an ankle injury at the time. With some clarity surrounding its severity, he seems destined to miss Week 18 and likely time beyond that. The Vikings have a question mark at center, as regular starter Garrett Bradbury (back) has missed the past four games.

Schlottmann has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Packers with an ankle injury.

Schlottmann started at center in place of Garrett Bradbury (back) in Week 17, but the backup offensive lineman was quickly deemed out after being carted to the locker room early in the first quarter, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic. As a result, Kyle Hinton will now likely step in at center for the remainder of Sunday's contest.
