Williams spent the 2022 season on the Jaguars' practice squad, and he is entering a nearly identical situation this year. The 23-year-old was competing against a plethora of pass catchers during training camp, but ultimately ended up as the odd man out. He will now continue competing at practice while awaiting an opportunity to get called up to the active roster.

The Jaguars waived Williams on Tuesday, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Williams was a sixth-round pick in 2021 by Denver, but he failed to make the Broncos' initial 53-man roster last year after appearing in just two games as a rookie. The wideout spent all of 2022 on Jacksonville's practice squad but was never elevated. Williams could be looking at a similar role in 2023 if he clears waivers.

Jaguars' Seth Williams: Sticks with Jacksonville
The Jaguars signed Williams to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Williams signed with the Jaguars' practice squad after being waived by Denver ahead of the initial 53-man roster deadline. He spent the entire campaign with Jacksonville but wasn't elevated for any games. With his new contract, he'll be able to stick around the organization and compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

The Jaguars signed Williams to their practice squad Friday, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Williams, who was waived by Denver prior to the NFL's 53-man roster deadline, will now provide added depth for Jacksonville should any of the team's wide receivers miss time. During his rookie campaign, Williams struggled to produce on the stat sheet, as he caught just one pass for 34 yards in two games played.

Williams was an active participant during Denver's opening day of training camp Wednesday, The Colorado Springs Gazette reports.
Williams missed time during the Broncos' minicamp in June for undisclosed reasons. The wideout spent the majority of his 2021 rookie campaign on Denver's practice squad, and he figures to compete with Kendall Hinton, Montrell Washington and Travis Fulgham for the team's final receiver spot during training camp.

Williams (undisclosed) was not practicing Monday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
It's unclear what exactly is holding Williams out of practice at this point. In his absence, offseason addition Travis Fulgham seems most likely to fill the role of backup big-bodied boundary receiver.

Broncos' Seth Williams: Records one catch in rookie season
Williams played in just two games in 2021 and finished the season with one catch for 34 yards.
In two games, Williams played a total of 47 offensive snaps. The rookie wideout was waived by the Broncos in August and subsequently spent time on the team's practice squad before being signed to the active roster Jan. 3. Former head coach Vic Fangio was impressed with his performance in Week 17, earning him an active roster spot. The 21-year-old Auburn product joins a crowded wide receiver room in Denver, headlined by the team's top trio of Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick. If Williams remains a member of the Broncos in 2022, he'll have an uphill battle to see meaningful playing time for fantasy purposes.

Broncos' Seth Williams: Signs with active roster
Williams signed with the Broncos' active roster from the practice squad Monday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports.
Williams was bumped up from the practice squad last week with Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick in COVID protocols. He had one 34-yard reception on one target against the Chargers. Swanson's report adds that head coach Vic Fangio was impressed with Williams' performance, which earned him the active roster spot. He'll look to make an impact in Week 18 against the Chiefs.

Broncos' Seth Williams: Bumped up from practice squad
Williams was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Friday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports.
Williams will have a chance to play a significant role Sunday against the Chargers. With Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Tim Patrick (illness) currently on the COVID list, and Courtland Sutton possibly joining them, the Broncos could be down their top three wideouts. This would place Williams as high as third on the positional depth chart, behind Kendall Hinton and Diontae Spencer. Williams was a 2021 sixth-round selection out of Auburn who has yet step on an NFL field this season.

Williams (illness) has returned to the Broncos' practice squad from the practice squad COVID-19 list, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.
Williams reportedly tested positive for the virus, so his return indicates he has provided two consecutive negative tests 24 hours apart. He will now return to practice per usual.
