Newsome doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against Houston, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Newsome, who's missed two straight games due to a concussion, returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant and logged back-to-back full participations to end Week 13 prep, clearing him for Sunday's matchup. Across nine appearances, the second-year cornerback has totaled 24 tackles, one pass defense and half a sack while playing nearly every defensive snap.

Browns' Greg Newsome: Returns to practice Wednesday
Newsome (concussion) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Newsome suffered a concussion in Week 10 and has been sidelined since, so his return to practice Wednesday, albeit in a limited fashion, is encouraging. The second-year cornerback will have two more opportunities to log a full session before Cleveland needs to make a decision on his status for Sunday's matchup against the Texans.

Browns' Greg Newsome: Missing second straight outing
Newsome (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Newsome sustained a concussion back in Week 10 versus Miami, and he's since been unable to practice in any capacity leading up to this weekend's matchup against Tampa Bay. In his absence, Denzel Ward, A.J. Green and Martin Emerson are again slated to handle Cleveland's cornerback duties.

Newsome sustained a concussion during practice ahead of Cleveland's loss to Buffalo in Week 11, and he now appears to be in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive game with that injury. If the sophomore first-rounder can't go in Week 12, Greedy Williams would likely be in line for fill-in reps on the boundaries.

Newsome (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Buffalo, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
Newsome was officially diagnosed with a concussion after being involved in a collision during practice Friday, per Poisal. As a result, the second-year corner will miss Sunday's contest and look to clear the league's protocols ahead of Cleveland's Week 12 contest versus Tampa Bay. Newsome has recorded 24 tackles, 0.5 sacks and one pass defended over nine starts this season, and his absence will leave the Browns' defense short-handed against Buffalo's prolific passing attack.
