Player Outlook
Reed has a legit shot to be the Packers' primary slot option at the position -- maybe even their No. 2 receiver. The rookie was a quick-footed, well-nuanced receiver stuck in a bad offense at Michigan State, finishing up with only five touchdowns in 11 games after scoring 10 in 13 games the year before. More importantly, Reed racked up 114 catches on 185 targets (30 were deemed uncatchable) with a 14.6 receiving average. His lack of height and breakaway speed may keep him from being dominant, and 12 drops over those past two years can't be overlooked, but he's pretty polished and should contribute as soon as this year. He's not a must-get in seasonal drafts (though you might pick him up off waivers), but he is very much worth considering after 20th overall in rookie-only drafts.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Christian Watson (hamstring) is banged up, which should allow Reed and Romeo Doubs the chance for more production against the Giants in Week 14. Doubs has scored at least 11.2 PPR points in three of his past four games, and Reed has scored at least 15 PPR points in three of his past four outings. The Giants are No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and Jordan Love is on fire right now. This is a great week to trust both Reed and Doubs as No. 3 Fantasy receivers in the majority of leagues, especially if Watson is out.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Targeted five times on SNF

Reed (chest) caught four of five targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 27-19 win over Kansas City. Reed overcame a nagging chest injury for the second week in a row in order to suit up against the Chiefs on Sunday. The versatile rookie finished without a touchdown or rushing attempt for the first time since Week 8, highlighting his useful production over that span. Reed still garnered five targets despite Sunday's meager fantasy production, keeping him relevant in deeper formats for next Monday's tilt against the Giants.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Active in Week 13

Reed (chest) is listed as active Sunday versus the Chiefs, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Reed has been dealing with a chest injury for two weeks in a row, but it won't stop him from suiting up on either occasion despite being capped at one limited session (Friday) during Week 13 prep. He thus should slot into his typical role as one of the Packers' top three wide receivers alongside Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. Reed has been in a nice groove over the last five games, gathering in 20 of 28 targets for 266 yards and two touchdowns and turning six carries into 83 yards and another score.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: In line to play Sunday

Reed (chest), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is trending toward playing, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. According to Schultz, Reed is scheduled to go through a pregame workout as a final check of his health, but the expectation is that he'll avoid the Packers' Week 13 inactive list, which will be released 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. The rookie wideout has seen an uptick in involvement in the passing game of late, having accrued a 13-164-2 receiving line on 19 targets while also carrying five times for 62 yards and another score over Green Bay's last three games.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Questionable for Week 13

Coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Reed (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Reed opened Week 13 prep with back-to-back absences due to a chest injury that has lingered since a Week 11 win against the Chargers, but his return to the field in some capacity Friday has him in a position to miss no game action as a result. He was able to play through the issue during the Packers' win in Detroit on Thanksgiving, hauling in four of eight targets for 34 yards and one touchdown and taking two carries for 16 yards. Reed's availability won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Returns to practice

Reed (chest) returned to practice Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. After back-to-back missed practices, Reed's return at the end of the week seemingly gives him a shot to play Sunday night against the Chiefs. He's still only third among Packers WRs in snaps and routes most weeks -- behind Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson -- but the rookie nonetheless is averaging 5.4 targets per game and took five carries the past two weeks (in addition to 14 targets).

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Start Him (Lineup Decisions)

I love how Reed is becoming a guy the Packers coaching staff wants to lean on. He's scored 15-plus PPR points in three straight games, but it's really the past two where we've seen him pick up some carries and also seen his route participation rate has hit at least 75% in each game. On Thanksgiving he continued to be used mostly out of the slot and as a short and intermediate target, including in the red zone on his touchdown reel from Love. But he should have had another 20-plus yards on a great lob from Jordan Love that bounced off his hands. While the usage is improving, the matchup is as well. Chiefs slot cornerback Trent McDuffie will likely draw Reed in coverage a bunch; he's allowed a 70% catch rate and 10.8 yards per reception this year but just one touchdown. And it's true that the Packers could have a hard time handling the Chiefs' pass rush, but that could also lead to more targets, albeit short ones, for Reed. I've liked what I've seen from the rookie and would take the chance to start him over Drake London, DeAndre Hopkins and Cooper Kupp as a low-end WRs or high-end flex.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Still not practicing

Reed (chest) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Reed missed Wednesday's session, so what he's able to do Friday will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday night against the Chiefs. If Reed is unavailable this weekend, Dontayvion Wicks (knee), Malik Heath and Samori Toure would be candidates for added Week 13 WR snaps.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Still dealing with chest issue

Reed didn't practice Wednesday due to a chest injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Last Tuesday, the Packers added Reed to their injury report as a limited participant due to the same issue. He was upgraded to a full participant Wednesday and didn't take an injury designation into the Packers' Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Lions. He proceeded to gather in four of eight targets for 34 yards and one touchdown and took two carries for 16 yards in the 29-22 win. Reed will have two more opportunities this week to get back to all on-field work before the team potentially tags him with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Finds end zone again Thursday

Reed caught four of eight targets for 34 yards and a touchdown and added 16 rushing yards on two carries in Thursday's 29-22 win over the Lions. While it wasn't the most efficient performance, Reed scored a TD for the third straight game, opening the scoring on Green Bay's first possession with a 10-yard strike from Jordan Love. The 2023 second-round pick has totaled 226 scrimmage yards over his three-game touchdown streak, and with the Packers committed to getting him the ball in a variety of ways, Reed appears poised for a big finish to the season.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Reed and Romeo Doubs are worth using as No. 3 Fantasy receivers in Week 12 at Detroit on Thanksgiving. Reed has scored at least 11.1 PPR points in four of his past five games, including two in a row with at least 19.2 PPR points. And Doubs has scored a touchdown in four of his past five games. Both have the chance for a productive outing against the Lions, who have given up the fifth-most touchdowns (12) to opposing receivers this season. As for Christian Watson, I would avoid him in most leagues this week. Even though he scored a touchdown in Week 11 against the Chargers, he only had two catches for 21 yards on four targets. And he's now had 37 yards or less in five games in a row, and that was his first touchdown since Week 4.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: In clear for Thursday's game

Reed (chest) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report and doesn't have a designation for Thursday's contest at Detroit, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Reed showed up suddenly on Tuesday's report as a limited practice participant due to a chest injury, which head coach Matt LaFleur told Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel stemmed from the wideout feeling soreness that become a bigger issue as the week went on. The injury didn't affect Reed during Wednesday's walk-through session, and he'll now be available Thursday to take on a Lions defense that has given up the fifth-most touchdowns (12) to opposing wide receivers in 10 games this season.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Week 12 Adds (WR Preview)

Reed is a must-roster player, and the best wide receiver to roster on the Packers, but that doesn't quite make him a must-start wide receiver this week, even in a three-receiver leagues. The reason is that the ball is being spread around to such a degree that seemingly no one sees more than six targets in a game for the Packers. The rushing production was a nice bonus last week but you don't actually get anything for that if you pick him up this week.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

Reed only had four catches for 46 yards on six targets against the Chargers in Week 11, but he also added three carries for 46 yards and a touchdown. I like that the Packers are finding different ways to get Reed the ball, and he's scored at least 11.1 PPR points in four of his past five games. There are a lot of mouths to feed in this receiving corps with Reed, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks and Luke Musgrave, but Reed is starting to emerge as the best of the bunch. He's worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your FAB.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Week 12 Early Waiver Targets (Add/Drop)

Sorting through the Packers various young wide receivers has been a headache all season, and Sunday provided a good example of why. Dontayvion Wicks had three catches for 91 yards, Romeo Doubs had five catches for 53 and a touchdown, while Christian Watson had two for 21 and a score, with all three targeted between four and six times. Reed was only targeted six times himself, catching four for 46, but I'm prioritizing him if I'm adding any of them because of the role in the running game. You can't count on 46 yards and a touchdown on the ground every week, but in a world where the Packers have no true No. 1 in the passing game and are spreading it around, the fact that they are looking to get the ball in Reed's hands suggests that's one way he can stand out. Reed, Doubs, Watson, and Wicks might all just be in the WR4-5 range moving forward, but there's clearly talent and upside here, and I like Reed's chances best of emerging from the pack.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Leads Green Bay in rushing

Reed caught four of six targets for 46 yards and rushed three times for 46 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Chargers. Reed's day was highlighted by a 32-yard touchdown on an end around to begin the second quarter. With the help of that score, the rookie actually led the Packers in rushing yards Sunday, when top tailback Aaron Jones went down with a knee injury. If Jones is sidelined going forward, Reed could continue to see occasional carries on motion plays from his wideout position, where he entered Sunday leading the team in receiving yards.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Sleeper WRs

Reed is starting to look like the best Packers receiver, and he just had five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown on five targets at Pittsburgh in Week 10. That's now three games in his past four outings with at least 11.1 PPR points, including two touchdowns over that span, and I trust Reed more than Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs at this point. The Packers have a favorable matchup against the Chargers in Week 11, and Los Angeles is No. 6 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. There have been 10 receivers with at least 13 PPR points against the Chargers this year, and Reed seems like the best bet to reach that total of Green Bay's receivers this week. He's worth using as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in deeper leagues in Week 11.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Leads Packers in receiving

Reed caught all five of his targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-19 loss to the Steelers. Reed turned in an excellent performance, pacing Green Bay in both catches and receiving yards. His totals included a 35-yard touchdown during the second quarter, as well as a 46-yard grab on the final drive of the day that helped put the Packers in scoring position. Although the Packers' offensive inconsistencies impact Reed's stock, he's now topped 80 yards in two of his last three outings, continuing a quality rookie campaign.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Limited in easy win

Reed had three receptions for 19 yards and one carry for 21 yards in Sunday's 20-3 victory over the Rams. The Packers leaned heavily on the ground game in Sunday's comfortable win, which resulted in their tight ends all spending extra time on the field and Reed playing fewer than 40 percent of the snaps for the first time in his rookie season. Green Bay's next opponent, Pittsburgh, has been pretty friendly to receivers over the course of the campaign, so Reed will have a chance to bounce back in Week 10 -- particularly if fellow wideout Christian Watson is out or limited after sustaining several injuries against Los Angeles.

  • Packers' Jayden Reed: Leading receiver in loss

Reed caught four of six targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Vikings. The 2023 second-round pick was the Packers' leading receiving on the day in terms of yardage, although Romeo Doubs (nine) and Christian Watson (eight) both saw more targets and AJ Dillon caught more passes (five). Reed also set a new career high with the 83-yard performance, and he appears to have held onto a significant role in the passing game since Watson's Week 4 return to the lineup. Green Bay's passing game as a whole could be poised for a breakout in Week 9 against a Rams defense that just got lit up by Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
