  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Minimal production in snow

Douglas caught two of five targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Jets. As if catching passes from Bailey Zappe against the stout Jets secondary wasn't tough enough on its own, Douglas also had to contend with a snowstorm. The 2023 sixth-round draft pick showed some promise this season with 49 catches for 561 yards on 78 targets, though he failed to score a touchdown across 14 games as a rookie. The Patriots will likely try to bolster their wide-receiver room in the offseason, but Douglas could also benefit from a potential upgrade at quarterback, which could come via the Patriots' third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Three catches in Sunday's loss

Douglas caught three of five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Bills. It was modest production, but Douglas actually led the Patriots' wide receiver corps in targets, in part due to the early exit of DeVante Parker (ribs). Douglas has hauled in at least three passes in eight straight games for which he's been active dating back to Week 7, posting a 37-405-0 line on 56 targets during that time. The rookie wideout will look to end his season with a splash in Week 18 against the Jets.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Week 17 Adds (WR Preview)

Douglas bounced back nicely in Week 16 with five catches for 74 yards against the Broncos. He now has double-digit PPR Fantasy points in four of his last five games and should be chasing the score in Week 17 against the Bills.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Week 17 Waiver Priority List

Douglas had the second-best game of his career in Week 16 at Denver with five catches for 74 yards on eight targets, and hopefully he can finish strong with Bailey Zappe. Douglas is still looking for his first NFL touchdown, so he's better in PPR than any other format, but he can be a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in Week 17 at Buffalo. He had four catches for 54 yards on six targets against the Bills in Week 7.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Good showing against Denver

Douglas recorded five receptions on nine targets for 74 yards in Sunday's 26-23 win over the Broncos. Douglas paired with DeVante Parker to lead a depleted New England pass-catching corps that was without JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Hunter Henry (knee). He picked up the majority of his yardage on a 41-yard contested catch over a Broncos defender early in the third quarter. Overall, Douglas has topped over 70 yards in two of his last four games, though that was interrupted by two missed contests due to a concussion. His strong close to the season could help him secure a significant role with the team in 2024, even if there are upgrades to the skill-position groups.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Week 16 Adds (WR Preview)

Douglas' first game back was a disappointment but he still has nine targets in two of his last three games and seven targets in four of his last five games. I'm hoping for a bounce back in Week 16.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Sleeper WRs

Douglas finally cleared the concussion protocol, and he's ready to play in Week 15 against the Chiefs after missing the past two games. Prior to getting hurt, Douglas had consecutive games with nine targets and six catches, and hopefully he continues to get that kind of volume in this struggling offense. Bailey Zappe should lean on Douglas, and he's worth trusting as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in PPR. While Kansas City is No. 10 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, there have been 15 receivers to score at least 12 PPR points against the Chiefs this year. I'm hopeful Douglas can reach that threshold this week now that he's back in action.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Set to return Sunday

After clearing the NFL's concussion protocol, Douglas doesn't carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Douglas missed the Patriots' last two games, but he'll be back in action this weekend and should reclaim a key role in the team's Week 15 pass-catching corps. In the 10 games he's suited up for, Douglas has averaged 3.6 catches on 5.5 targets for 41 yards, a rate of production that gives the 2023 sixth-rounder modest fantasy utility in PPR formats.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Logs limited practice

Douglas (concussion) was a limited participant in his return to practice Wednesday. Douglas has missed the Patriots' last two games, but the wide receiver's return to practice in some capacity marks a step forward as he makes his way through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. He's one of four Patriots receivers on the Week 15 injury report, with all of DeVante Parker (knee), JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) also practicing on a limited basis Wednesday.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Returns to practice

Douglas (concussion) was present for practice Wednesday, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports. Douglas has missed two straight games, but the wide receiver's presence at Wednesday's practice paves the way for a potential return to action Sunday against the Chiefs. The Patriots will reveal the extent of Douglas' participation in practice when the team releases its first Week 15 injury report later Wednesday.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Week 15 Waiver Priority List

We keep waiting for Douglas to get healthy, but he's been in the concussion protocol for the past two games and missed Week 13 against the Chargers and Week 14 at Pittsburgh. Prior to getting hurt, Douglas had consecutive games with nine targets and six catches, and hopefully he continues to get that kind of volume in this struggling offense. We'll see if Douglas can clear the concussion protocol in time for Week 15 against Kansas City, and he has the potential to be a No. 3 PPR receiver when healthy to close the season. And if Douglas remains out then look at JuJu Smith-Schuster (12 percent rostered) as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in deeper leagues. Smith-Schuster had 13 PPR points in Week 14 at Pittsburgh in a revenge game, and he gets another revenge game in Week 15 against the Chiefs.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Stashes (WR Preview)

Douglas has already been ruled out for Thursday, so he may be dropped in more leagues than he's added in this week. Still, he had 18 targets in his last two games and I expect him to be right back in that role once he's healthy. That would make him a WR3 in the Fantasy playoffs.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Ruled out again

Douglas (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh. Douglas hasn't returned to practice since being concussed Week 12 and now officially will be out for a second straight game. DeVante Parker saw a team-high nine targets in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers, and he'll be the favorite to serve as New England's de facto No. 1 wideout again, assuming he's able to play through the minor knee injury that has him listed as questionable. JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) -- also listed as questionable -- was a near-every-down presence for the Patriots this past Sunday, and should benefit from a full-time role Thursday. Beyond those two, Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor are the best bets to fill snaps at receiver for New England.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Still sidelined at practice

Douglas (concussion) wasn't practicing Tuesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. Douglas has yet to mix into drills since suffering a concussion during a Week 12 loss at the Giants, giving him very little leeway to put himself in a position to play Thursday in Pittsburgh. It remains to be seen how much of the rest of the team's receiving corps will be available considering DeVante Parker (knee), JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) all are tending to health concerns as well.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Week 14 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Douglas can clear the concussion protocol in time for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh, and he has the potential to be a No. 3 PPR receiver when healthy to close the season. Prior to missing Week 13 against the Chargers, Douglas had consecutive games with nine targets and six catches, and hopefully he continues to get that kind of volume in this struggling offense. Even if Douglas doesn't play in Week 14 against the Steelers, then I still want to stash him on my roster. He's worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your FAB.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Yet to resume practicing

Douglas (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate. Douglas hasn't resumed practicing since entering the NFL's five-step concussion protocol after a 10-7 Week 12 loss to the Giants. With Thursday's game against the Steelers fast approaching, Douglas is running out of time to clear the protocol. DeVante Parker (knee), Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) led New England's receiving corps with Douglas sidelined in this past Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Still not practicing

Douglas (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Douglas didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, either, so the 2023 sixth-rounder could be ruled out for Week 13 action later Friday. If that ends up being the case, DeVante Parker, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton would be in line to work as the Patriots' top WRs versus the Chargers on Sunday.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Not practicing Wednesday

Douglas (concussion) wasn't spotted participating in practice Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Though head coach Bill Belichick was previously unwilling to confirm as much, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald relays that Douglas entered the NFL's concussion protocol after being forced out of this past Sunday's loss to the Giants. Given that Douglas was previously diagnosed with a concussion Oct. 8 and proceeded to miss the Patriots' ensuing Week 6 game, the wideout may face an uphill battle to clear the five-step protocol ahead of this Sunday's game against the Chargers. If Douglas is sidelined Week 13, DeVante Parker, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton would be in line to lead the team's receiver corps.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Week 13 Waiver Priority List

I'm hopeful Douglas clears the concussion protocol and can play in Week 13 against the Chargers. It's a great matchup since the Chargers are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and Douglas has consecutive games of nine targets and six catches prior to Week 13. He also has 38 targets in his past five outings, and he's become the No. 1 receiver for the Patriots over that span. Douglas is worth adding for up to 10 percent of your FAB. If Douglas can't play in Week 13 then consider DeVante Parker (5 percent rostered) in deeper leagues. Parker just had three catches for 42 yards on five targets in Week 12 at the Giants, and he's worth 1 percent of your FAB.

  • Patriots' Demario Douglas: Exits early Sunday with head injury

Douglas won't return to Sunday's game against the Giants due to a head injury, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports. Prior to his exit from the game, Douglas caught six of his nine targets for 49 yards. Given that Douglas was quickly downgraded to out after initially being listed as doubtful to return to the game, he presumably suffered a concussion. Douglas previously sat out the Patriots' Week 6 game against the Raiders due to a concussion, so if he's in the protocol for head injuries again, he'll be at high risk of missing the team's Week 13 game against the Chargers.
