As if catching passes from Bailey Zappe against the stout Jets secondary wasn't tough enough on its own, Douglas also had to contend with a snowstorm. The 2023 sixth-round draft pick showed some promise this season with 49 catches for 561 yards on 78 targets, though he failed to score a touchdown across 14 games as a rookie. The Patriots will likely try to bolster their wide-receiver room in the offseason, but Douglas could also benefit from a potential upgrade at quarterback, which could come via the Patriots' third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Douglas caught three of five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Bills.
It was modest production, but Douglas actually led the Patriots' wide receiver corps in targets, in part due to the early exit of DeVante Parker (ribs). Douglas has hauled in at least three passes in eight straight games for which he's been active dating back to Week 7, posting a 37-405-0 line on 56 targets during that time. The rookie wideout will look to end his season with a splash in Week 18 against the Jets.
Douglas bounced back nicely in Week 16 with five catches for 74 yards against the Broncos. He now has double-digit PPR Fantasy points in four of his last five games and should be chasing the score in Week 17 against the Bills.

Douglas is still looking for his first NFL touchdown, so he's better in PPR than any other format, but he can be a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in Week 17 at Buffalo. He had four catches for 54 yards on six targets against the Bills in Week 7.

Douglas recorded five receptions on nine targets for 74 yards in Sunday's 26-23 win over the Broncos.
Douglas paired with DeVante Parker to lead a depleted New England pass-catching corps that was without JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Hunter Henry (knee). He picked up the majority of his yardage on a 41-yard contested catch over a Broncos defender early in the third quarter. Overall, Douglas has topped over 70 yards in two of his last four games, though that was interrupted by two missed contests due to a concussion. His strong close to the season could help him secure a significant role with the team in 2024, even if there are upgrades to the skill-position groups.
Douglas' first game back was a disappointment but he still has nine targets in two of his last three games and seven targets in four of his last five games. I'm hoping for a bounce back in Week 16.

Prior to getting hurt, Douglas had consecutive games with nine targets and six catches, and hopefully he continues to get that kind of volume in this struggling offense. Bailey Zappe should lean on Douglas, and he's worth trusting as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in PPR. While Kansas City is No. 10 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, there have been 15 receivers to score at least 12 PPR points against the Chiefs this year. I'm hopeful Douglas can reach that threshold this week now that he's back in action.

Smith-Schuster had 13 PPR points in Week 14 at Pittsburgh in a revenge game, and he gets another revenge game in Week 15 against the Chiefs.

Douglas hasn't returned to practice since being concussed Week 12 and now officially will be out for a second straight game. DeVante Parker saw a team-high nine targets in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers, and he'll be the favorite to serve as New England's de facto No. 1 wideout again, assuming he's able to play through the minor knee injury that has him listed as questionable. JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) -- also listed as questionable -- was a near-every-down presence for the Patriots this past Sunday, and should benefit from a full-time role Thursday. Beyond those two, Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor are the best bets to fill snaps at receiver for New England.

It's a great matchup since the Chargers are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and Douglas has consecutive games of nine targets and six catches prior to Week 13. He also has 38 targets in his past five outings, and he's become the No. 1 receiver for the Patriots over that span. Douglas is worth adding for up to 10 percent of your FAB. If Douglas can't play in Week 13 then consider DeVante Parker (5 percent rostered) in deeper leagues. Parker just had three catches for 42 yards on five targets in Week 12 at the Giants, and he's worth 1 percent of your FAB.

Douglas won't return to Sunday's game against the Giants due to a head injury, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Prior to his exit from the game, Douglas caught six of his nine targets for 49 yards. Given that Douglas was quickly downgraded to out after initially being listed as doubtful to return to the game, he presumably suffered a concussion. Douglas previously sat out the Patriots' Week 6 game against the Raiders due to a concussion, so if he's in the protocol for head injuries again, he'll be at high risk of missing the team's Week 13 game against the Chargers.
