  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Hits paydirt in season finale

Addison caught four of eight targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Lions. Addison and fellow wideout Justin Jefferson both played 93 percent of the Vikings' offensive snaps Sunday and dominated the overall target share among Minnesota pass catchers. Throughout his rookie season, Addison showed that he can be a key playmaker in the Minnesota passing attack alongside Jefferson and tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) heading into 2024. While playing in all 17 games in 2023, Addison finished with 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: WRs to Sit

I'd love to see Addison finish the season with a strong performance, but he's struggled down the stretch and will be tough to trust in Week 18 at Detroit. He's scored 10.9 PPR points or less in seven of his past eight games, including 5.8 PPR points or fewer in three of his past four outings. And he's been held to five targets or less in three of his past four games. He left the first game against Detroit in Week 16 with an ankle injury that he played through in Week 17 against Green Bay, and he likely isn't at 100 percent for the rematch with the Lions. It's a good thing that Nick Mullens is starting for the Vikings, but Addison should only be used in three-receiver leagues in Week 18.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Active in Week 17

Addison (ankle) is listed as active Sunday versus the Packers, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports. Addison departed the Vikings' Week 16 loss to the Lions with a sprained ankle and wasn't able to return to action. He then opened Week 17 prep with no activity before capping it with back-to-back limited sessions and entering the weekend with a questionable designation. Early Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Addison was in line to play Sunday, and Minnesota has confirmed as much by not including him among its inactives. Addison thus will be taking on a Green Bay defense that has been torched by opposing wide receivers to the tune of a 43-632-5 line on 54 targets over the last three games.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Listed as questionable

Addison (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. While unable to rejoin Sunday's loss to Detroit following his ankle injury in the second quarter, Addison returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant and now heads into the weekend looking truly questionable after another limited practice Friday. A game-time call would be tricky for a lot of fantasy managers, as the Vikings and Packers are the final matchup of the week with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday. If Addison doesn't play, Brandon Powell likely will fill in alongside Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn in three-wide formations. Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Jaren Hall will make his second career start, replacing Nick Mullens after the veteran's two starts produced a lot of yards and a lot of turnovers.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Returns as limited participant

Addison (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday. After being held out of Wednesday's walkthrough, Addison was able to handle some on-field work one day later as he looks to miss no game action due to the ankle sprain that he suffered this past Sunday against the Lions. Head coach Kevin O'Connell called Addison "day-to-day" Tuesday, per Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com, but it remains to be seen if the rookie first-round pick will sidestep a designation ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Packers. Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not that's the case for Addison.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: No activity at walkthrough

Addison (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate. The Vikings held a walkthrough instead of an actual practice to begin Week 17 prep, but Addison didn't mix into any on-field work as he tends to the ankle sprain that he suffered during this past Sunday's loss to the Lions. On Tuesday, head coach Kevin O'Connell called Addison "day-to-day," per Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com, so the rookie wide receiver seemingly has a chance to suit up Sunday against the Packers. Addison's activity, if any, Thursday and Friday could help forecast his odds of playing this weekend.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Deemed day-to-day by head coach

Head coach Kevin O'Connell classified Addison (ankle) as day-to-day Tuesday and wasn't willing to rule the receiver out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. O'Connell didn't go into many details regarding the severity of the ankle sprain that forced Addison out of this past Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Lions, but the "day-to-day" label paints a rosier picture of the rookie wideout's health after Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that he was being considered week-to-week. O'Connell also announced Tuesday that star tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) will miss the rest of the season, so if Addison's able to overcome his own injury, he could be in store for a larger target share behind top pass catcher Justin Jefferson over the final two games of the campaign.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Viewed as week-to-week

Addison is considered week-to-week due to the ankle sprain he sustained during Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per Rapoport, added context regarding Addison's status should arrive once the wideout undergoes further tests Monday. Prior to his exit from Sunday's contest, the wideout played 21 of 55 snaps on offense, catching one of his four targets for two yards. If Addison is forced to miss this weekend's contest against the Packers, both K.J. Osborn and Brandon Powell would be in store for expanded reps behind No. 1 wideout Justin Jefferson.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Suffers ankle injury Sunday

Addison exited Sunday's game against the Lions due to an ankle injury, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Addison visited the sideline tent after quarterback Nick Mullens' second interception of the game, when the rookie was the intended receiver. If Addison is unable to return, he'll finish Week 16 with one catch (on four targets) for two yards. K.J. Osborn and Brandon Powell are poised for more work alongside Justin Jefferson during Addison's absence.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Sleeper WRs

Addison was great in his first start with Nick Mullens in Week 15 at Cincinnati with six catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns on six targets. That was also with Justin Jefferson back, so Addison will hopefully be fine with a new quarterback and a healthy receiving corps. This week, the Vikings should be throwing a lot at Detroit, and the Lions are No. 9 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. There also have been four times this season where a pair of receivers have scored at least 13.2 PPR points against Detroit in the same game -- Week 2 (Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf), Week 5 (Adam Thielen and D.J. Chark), Week 10 (Keenan Allen, Jalen Guyton and Quentin Johnston) and Week 12 (Christian Watson and Jayden Reed) -- so Jefferson and Addison can both thrive in this matchup.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Modest production with six catches

Addison secured six of 10 targets for 39 yards in the Vikings' 12-10 loss to the Bears on Monday. Addison led the Vikings in receptions and targets but finished third in receiving yards. Outside of his 14-yard grab, Addison averaged only 5.0 yards per reception, leading to his lowest tally in that category since his first encounter with the Bears back in Week 6. Justin Jefferson (hamstring) should have a good chance of returning to action for Minnesota's Week 14 road matchup against the Raiders following a Week 13 bye, so Addison could well see a downturn in targets beginning with that game.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Limited to three catches in loss

Addison secured three of six targets for 44 yards in the Vikings' 21-20 loss to the Broncos on Sunday night. Addison finished third in receiving yards despite checking in second in targets for the Vikings on the night, as he took a rare back seat to multiple pass catchers in a game that was played with Justin Jefferson (hamstring) still unavailable. Addison's catch and yardage tallies were his lowest over the last five games, and with Jefferson potentially set to return for a Week 12 Monday night clash against the Bears on Nov. 27, Addison could soon officially slot back into a No. 2 role.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Held back by game script

Addison recorded four receptions on seven targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 27-19 win over the Saints. The entirety of Addison's production came in the first half, as the Vikings jumped out to a 24-3 lead and were conservative in the final two quarters. While he was overshadowed by T.J. Hockenson, Addison earned at least seven targets and topped 50 yards for the fourth consecutive game. He's retained volume in two games without Kirk Cousins (Achilles), but the impending return of Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will change the dynamic of the offense.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Returns to game

Addison (cramps) has returned to Monday's matchup with the 49ers, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Addison briefly left the game and headed to the locker room after experiencing cramps. Barring any setbacks, he should take on his usual role at receiver and look to build on an already big game.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Heads to locker room

Addison exited Thursday's game against the 49ers and headed toward the locker room after suffering an apparent foot injury, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Addison was able to walk to the locker room under his own power. The rookie was enjoying a career game before exiting with six receptions for 110 yards and two trips to the end zone. It remains to be seen what his status will be for the remainder of the game.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: WRS to Start

Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is on IR, which should allow Addison and K.J. Osborn the chance for a big game in Week 6 at Chicago. Osborn is more of a sleeper as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver, but Addison should be a standout No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. He already has three touchdowns in five games this season with Jefferson on the field, and in three games with at least six targets (Week 1, Week 3 and Week 5), Addison is averaging 15.2 PPR points per game, with two touchdowns. The Bears have allowed three receivers to score at least 18.5 PPR points this season (Romeo Doubs, Mike Evans and Curtis Samuel), and Addison could add his name to that list in Week 6.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Bounces back with strong showing

Addison caught six of nine targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 loss to Kansas City. After failing to catch a pass last week against the Panthers, Addison bounced back and led the Vikings in receptions and yardage while grabbing his third TD in five NFL games on a five-yard toss from Kirk Cousins late in the second quarter. The rookie wideout emerged as Cousins' most reliable option in the fourth quarter while Justin Jefferson was sidelined with a hamstring injury, and if Jefferson isn't ready to return in Week 6 against the Bears, Addison could be in line for a big performance.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Sleeper WRs

Addison had his worst game of the season in Week 4 at Carolina with no catches on just one target, but he should bounce back this week against the Chiefs. While he's still playing fewer snaps than K.J. Osborn, this should be a game where Addison's targets are bountiful with the Vikings likely chasing points, even at home. Addison scored a touchdown in his first two games this year against Tampa Bay and Philadelphia, and he had six catches for 52 yards on eight targets in Week 3 against the Chargers. He's still a boom-or-bust No. 3 Fantasy receiver, but I expect him to do well in Week 5.

  • Vikings' Jordan Addison: Sit Him (Lineup Decisions)

While the Vikings are almost guaranteed to throw a ton against the Chiefs, rolling with Addison remains a risk because he's not the definitive No. 2 target, nor is the matchup any good for him. He's a flex at best who I'd sit for Romeo Doubs, Gabe Davis and Christian Watson.
