Chargers' Deane Leonard: Ready for Sunday
Leonard (hamstring) was not on the Chargers' injury report Wednesday.
Leonard had missed time earlier in camp with the injury. However, it appears he'll be ready to take the field Sunday against the Raiders. The rookie will likely be helping out on special teams while also providing depth in the secondary.

Chargers' Deane Leonard: Likely will miss Friday
Leonard (hamstring) is expected to be out Friday against the Saints, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Leonard was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 draft and is competing for a depth spot in the Chargers' secondary. He did record three tackles (one solo) in the teams preseason loss to the Rams on Aug. 13, although the missed time may impact his chances of making the squad.

The Chargers selected Leonard in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 236th overall.
Leonard posted a 4.37 40-yard dash, but his short-end speed lagged behind a number of other draftable secondary pieces. The Ole Miss product could be an excellent special teams gunner for a Chargers special teams unit that struggled at times throughout 2021.
