Biegel (Achilles) had a tryout with the Raiders on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Biegel suffered a season-ending Achilles injury prior to the 2022 campaign. His tryout with Las Vegas indicates he is finally recovered from the injury. The 30-year-old last played with the Dolphins in 2021, where he suited up for five games.... See More ... See Less

Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Suffers torn Achilles
Biegel sustained a torn left Achilles during Tuesday's practice, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports. Biegel will almost certainly be required to miss the entire 2020 campaign due to the severity of his injury. It's a brutal blow for the 27-year-old, who notched 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one interception in 2019, a season which appeared to signify a step forward in his career. He's on track to hit free agency in 2021.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Should retain starting gig
Biegel (elbow) is expected to retain a starting role during training camp, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Biegel is coming off a career year in which he recorded 59 tackles (27 solo), 2.5 sacks and one interception, despite missing one contest due to an elbow injury. With Kyle Van Noy and Jerome Baker locked in as every-down starters in Miami's linebacker corps, Biegel now stands to compete with Raekwon McMillan and Emmanuel Ogbah for a share of starting snaps.... Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Signs RFA tender
Biegel (elbow) has officially signed his restricted free agent tender with the Dolphins. Following a career year, Biegel and the Dolphins were unable to come to terms on a long-term deal. As a result, they tendered him as a restricted free agent. The 26-year-old will now look to build on his 59 tackles (27 solo), 2.5 sacks and one interception from last season. If he does so, that long-term contract could certainly be in play next offseason.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Won't play Week 17
Biegel (elbow) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Biegel will be forced to miss time due to the elbow issue that he suffered in Week 16's win over the Bengals. With the Wisconsin product sidelined, it's likely that Calvin Munson will draw the start at inside linebacker in his absence.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Won't return Sunday
Biegel (elbow) was ruled out of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports. The specifics surrounding the injury remain unclear, but the fact that Biegel was immediately ruled out is a negative sign. Expect the team to have an update on the injury in the coming days, and with the Wisconsin product sidelined, Calvin Munson and Deon Lacey are in line to receive an uptick in snaps.... See More ... Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Ties for team lead in tackles
Biegel had nine tackles (four solo) in Monday's loss to the Steelers. Biegel also hit QB Mason Rudolph twice but was unable to break into the sack column. The 26-year-old has seen an increased share of snaps since the Dolphins' Week 5 bye and has 20 tackles (eight solo) and a sack during those three games.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Vince Biegel: Traded Sunday
Biegel was traded to the Dolphins from the Saints on Sunday in exchange for fellow linebacker Kiko Alonso, Herbie Teope of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The Dolphins seem to be using 2019 as a rebuilding year, as Alonso is the third veteran they've traded in the past two days. Biegel played 14 games with the Saints last season, playing almost exclusively on special teams, making just four tackles. The 26-year-old will save the team money and help it get younger, but will also be a solid special teams asset for the 2019 season.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Vince Biegel: Staying in New Orleans
Biegel re-signed with the Saints on Monday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Biegel played 14 games with the Saints in 2018, logging 241 snaps on special teams and recording four total tackles. The 2017 fourth-round pick appears to be headed toward another season as a special teams asset and depth linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Vince Biegel: Minimal impact in first year
Biegel posted 16 tackles (11 solo) over nine games during his rookie season with the Packers. Biegel missed a good chunk of time after undergoing foot surgery in May, but he was still able to suit up for more than half of the games in his rookie season. The Packers will be hoping he can provide a boost to the team's pass rush in 2018.... See More ... See Less -
Packers' Vince Biegel: Undergoes foot surgery
Biegel (hand) underwent surgery to correct a fracture in his foot, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Biegel missed time during the first day of rookie practice due to a hand injury, and it appears he has since aggravated the Jones fracture in his foot that forced him to miss two games at Wisconsin last season. The surgery will keep him out until at least training camp, and he's in danger of missing some time then as well. The team will be hoping he can recover quickly to contribute to the defense early on in the season.... See More ... See Less
