    Nickerson had eight tackles (five solo) and a pass defensed in Thursday's victory against Baltimore. Nickerson received the start at middle linebacker with Preston Brown (ankle) sidelined, and played all but one defensive snap in his absence. Brown will have additional time to recuperate for Week 3, and his availability should be the deciding factor in Nickerson's workload next week.
