  • Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Another chance with Detroit

Moseley (knee) signed a new one-year contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Moseley signed a one-year deal with the Lions last offseason while he was recovering from a torn ACL suffered in 2022. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old cornerback suffered the same injury on his second defensive snap of the season when he made his debut with Detroit in Week 5. He will now get another opportunity with the club as it bolsters its secondary for 2024.

Moseley (knee) practiced in full Friday and is questionable for Sunday's Week 5 contest at home against the Panthers. He began this week with another pair of limited sessions before he was able to progress to full practice participation Friday. Moseley (knee) is still without a timetable to return this season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. He was originally expected to be ready Week 1 and took part in walkthrough drills during minicamp. However, the 27-year-old doesn't want to comment on what caused his setback, stating, "I don't want to go deeper into kind of what happened or whatever, but just know right now I'm feeling pretty good." When asked if he might be ready by the season opener, he added, "I'm not going to throw no numbers out there or a timeline, but if you see me out, just know I'll be very excited." Moseley is expected to play a key role in the Lions secondary this season, but he'll need to get healthy first, and it still remains unclear when that will be.
