Webster was ruled out to return will less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Jamar Taylor (knee) has also been forced to leave Sunday's contest, so the 49ers don't have much left in the way of cornerback depth.

The Dolphins waived Webster (ankle) on Friday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. As a result, Webster was let go. The 24-year-old has valuable experience, though, so he could find a depth role elsewhere.
