  • Aldrick Rosas: Let go with injury settlement

The Lions cut Rosas (undisclosed) from their practice squad injured list with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Rosas signed with Detroit's practice squad last November, but he was later released by the team in May after failing to make an in-game appearance. The 27-year-old kicker got another chance with the Lions after the team signed him back to the practice squad in September, but he was placed on the injured list with an undisclosed issue just eight days later. He'll now be free to sign and play elsewhere, given he can display optimal health.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Lands on practice-squad IR

The Lions placed Rosas (undisclosed) on the practice-squad injured list Friday. The extent of the injury remains unclear, but Rosas will be held out for at least the first four games of the regular season. In a corresponding move, the Lions signed Dominik Eberle to their practice squad.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Lands on Lions' practice squad

Detroit signed Rosas to the practice squad Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Rosas was cut by the Lions on Tuesday after losing the offseason kicker competition, but he will remain around as an emergency option. He made just one of four field-goal tries in four games with the Saints last year.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Cut by Detroit

Rosas was cut by the Lions on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Rosas had a shot to be the starting kicker in Detroit for the upcoming season, but it looks like the competition for that position is now exclusively between Austin Seibert and Riley Patterson. Detroit stands to save nearly $1 million by letting Seibert walk, and the 22-year-old Patterson connected on 13 of 14 attempts in his first year of NFL action in 2021, so the latter should be considered the favorite. Rosas, meanwhile, will try to get another opportunity elsewhere.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Reups with Lions

Rosas signed a reserve/future contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Once Austin Seibert (hip) was shelved midway through last season, Detroit replaced him with Riley Patterson and Rosas, who got the start in Seibert's first absence but ended up watching Patterson take over kicking duties for the final seven games of the year. However, with special teams coordinator Dave Fipp noncommittal about the status of the position entering 2022, it seems like all three kickers could have a chance to win the starting job this offseason. Whereas Rosas and Patterson are on cheap deals, Detroit could save almost $1 million against the cap by letting Seibert walk.

  • Lions' Aldrick Rosas: Not kicking this week

The Lions didn't elevate Rosas from their practice squad for Thursday's game against Chicago, likely leaving Riley Patterson as the placekicker, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Rosas played four games for the Saints earlier this season and made both of his kicks (an extra-point try and a 43-yard field goal) last week in his Lions debut. He reverted to the Lions' practice squad following the contest, leaving Patterson as the lone kicker on the 53-man roster. Patterson is now in line to make his NFL debut Thanksgiving Day.

  • Lions' Aldrick Rosas: Perfect in Lions debut

Rosas converted his only field-goal attempt and PAT during Sunday's 13-10 loss to Cleveland. Rosas made his Lions debut after signing with the team on Saturday. While he predictably didn't see many opportunities thanks to a poor offense that was down to backup quarterback Tim Boyle, Rosas was perfect on the chances he received despite the imperfect weather in Cleveland. However, Rosas would be a bottom-tier option even if starting QB Jared Goff were healthy, and he's even less of a recommended fantasy option if Boyle remains under center in Week 12 against Chicago.

  • Lions' Aldrick Rosas: Elevated from practice squad

Rosas was elevated from the Lions' practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns. Rosas joined Detroit's practice squad Tuesday and will suit up for Sunday's matchup since Austin Seibert (hip) is on injured reserve. Riley Patterson also signed with the Lions this week, and it's not yet clear who will handle placekicking duties against Cleveland.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Joins Detroit's practice squad

Rosas was signed to the Lions' practice squad Tuesday. With Austin Seibert (hip) on injured reserve, Ryan Santoso was elevated to the active roster for Week 10. However, Santoso struggled, missing a PAT in regulation that would've likely ended the game and a potential game-winning 48-yard field goal in overtime. The Lions opted to release Santoso from their practice squad, and in a corresponding move, they signed Riley Patterson to their active roster and Rosas to their practice squad.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Cut by New Orleans

Rosas was released by the Saints on Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Rosas filled in as the Saints' placekicker for the first four games of the season, but he's been let go after going 1-for-4 on field-goal attempts and 13-for-13 on PATs. Cody Parkey signed with New Orleans on Tuesday and will kick until Wil Lutz (abdomen) returns from injured reserve.

  • Saints' Aldrick Rosas: Kicking woes continue

Rosas missed his only field-goal attempt but converted three of three PATs during Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Giants. After Rosas missed two field-goal tries last week, it was at least a positive that he was trusted to take a 58-yarder that was again pushed wide. However, he's now 1-for-4 on the year and has not even remotely given the Saints a reason to keep him around whenever Wil Lutz (abdomen) is ready to return, which could happen as soon as Week 5 against Washington.

  • Saints' Aldrick Rosas: Misses two field-goal attempts

Rosas missed both of his field-goal attempts but converted each of his four PATs during Sunday's 28-13 win over New England. Rosas missed wide left on tries from 36 and 52 yards out in the final game before Wil Lutz (abdomen) is eligible to return from IR. While the Saints still won the game and it's possible Lutz isn't healthy enough to return to action in Week 4, it wouldn't be a complete surprise if New Orleans explores other options at kicker this week.

  • Saints' Aldrick Rosas: Bumps up from practice squad

The Saints signed Rosas off their practice squad Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Rosas got the first shot to fill in as the Saints' placekicker Week 1 while Wil Lutz recovers from core-muscle surgery. In his debut with the team this past Sunday against the Packers, Rosas nailed a 44-yard field goal to kick off the scoring and made all five of his point-after attempts. In what appears to be a high-scoring offense, he should have plenty of opportunities to score in Lutz's absence as a member of the 53-man roster instead of being reduced to a practice-squad elevation, as he was Week 1.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Reverts back to practice squad

Rosas reverted back to the Saints' practice squad Monday, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports. With Wil Lutz (abdomen) on injured reserve, the Saints elevated Rosas to their active roster for Week 1. Lutz is expected to miss eight to 12 weeks, so it is possible that Rosas continues to bounce between the practice squad and active roster on a weekly basis. The 26-year-old converted his only field-goal attempt and connected on all five of his extra points against the Packers.

  • Saints' Aldrick Rosas: One field-goal attempt in rout

Rosas converted his only field-goal attempt and five of five PATs during Sunday's 38-3 victory over the Packers. Thanks to Jameis Winston throwing five touchdowns on only 20 pass attempts, Rosas wasn't relied upon often. However, Wil Lutz (abdomen) attempted multiple field goals for New Orleans on eight occasions in 2020 with as many as five field-goal attempts in one game. When Winston's gaudy TD rate surely comes back down to earth as soon as Week 2 against Carolina, Rosas could take advantage of any added opportunities to rack up fantasy points.

  • Saints' Aldrick Rosas: Set to kick Week 1

Rosas was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Rosas is the only healthy kicker on the team's roster, so this was almost guaranteed to happen. Will Lutz is still dealing with an abdomen issue, so expect Rosas to be the Saints' primary option for the foreseeable future.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Signed to Saints' practice squad

The Saints signed Rosas to their practice squad Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Rosas was signed late in the offseason while Wil Lutz was dealing with an abdomen issue. Lutz is the only kicker on the Saints' initial 53-man roster, but he was placed on injured reserve Monday. A promotion to the active roster for Week 1 is likely for Rosas.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Let go by New Orleans

Rosas was released by the Saints on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Rosas was signed Aug. 20 to take over for an injured Wil Lutz (abdomen), but Lutz is now the only kicker currently on the 53-man roster. This is likely just some roster management from New Orleans, and Rosas could re-sign with the team in the coming days.

  • Saints' Aldrick Rosas: Filling in for Lutz

The Saints will sign Rosas, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. With Wil Lutz bouncing back from core muscle surgery and slated to miss time early on this season, the team needed to bring in a kicker in advance of Week 1 and Rosas gets the first shot to fill in after turning in a good workout with the Saints. Rosas kicked in six games with the Jaguars last season, making eight of his 11 field goal attempts, en route to recording 33 points.

  • Aldrick Rosas: Released by Jags

Rosas (undisclosed) was released with a non-football injury designation Friday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports. Jacksonville will go with Josh Lambo as its kicker. Once Rosas heals up, he will have the opportunity to sign with any team in need of kicking help.
