The 2021 fifth-rounder last saw regular-season action in 2022, when he suited up for three games with the Chiefs en route to recording three snaps on offense and 28 snaps as a special-teamer.

Powell was nursing a hamstring injury prior to getting waived during final roster cuts, so his subsequent addition to Kansas City's practice squad indicates he has put the issue behind him. The 25-year-old has spent his first two seasons bouncing back and forth between the Chiefs' practice and active rosters, and is looking at a similar scenario in 2023.
