    The 49ers are slated to sign Elliott to a two-year, $10 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. A third-round pick in 2020 by the Browns, Elliott spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons as a starter for Cleveland. Across 17 games (14 starts) last year, Elliott recorded 21 tackles (14 solo) and 2.5 sacks on the team's talented defensive line. In San Francisco, Elliott will help to replace the snaps lost by Arik Armstead, who is expected to be released this week.

  • Browns' Jordan Elliott: Questionable for Sunday vs. Bears

    Elliott (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bears, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Elliott is in danger of missing his first game of the season Sunday due to a head injury he sustained in Week 14 versus the Jaguars. If he is sidelined, Shelby Harris will likely start in Elliott's place.

    Elliott practiced as a member of the Browns' first-team defense during minicamp this past week, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. The 2020 third-round pick played 16 games with three starts last season, notching 26 tackles over 439 defensive snaps, before he suffered a knee injury during the team's Week 18 win over the Bengals. Elliott's positive health status this offseason, combined with the loss of defensive tackle Malik Jackson, should help launch him toward a starting role alongside Taven Bryan.
