Moss is one of three tight ends competing for the Bengals' third tight end slot, along with Mason Schreck and Mitchell Wilcox, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports. He caught one pass for 14 yards in the Bengals' preseason opener Saturday. The Bengals are only expected to keep three tight ends. C.J. • Football Team's Thaddeus Moss: Struggles in practice

Moss (foot) "got an earful" from tight ends coach Pete Hoener during Wednesday's practice, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports. The undrafted rookie out of LSU hasn't necessarily made the best first impression, but he's at least been healthy enough to practice after having foot surgery during the offseason. Moss has been one of the more frequently discussed UDFAs among fantasy players, with his landing spot in Washington putting him in arguably the weakest tight-end room in the NFL. Even so, he's likely headed for a healthy inactive in Week 1, if he makes Washington's final roster.
