  • Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Limited in practice

Rodriguez (illness) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice report.

Rodriguez is still battling an illness that kept him out Sunday's loss to the Eagles and will look to be ready for the Commanders' game against the Panthers on Thursday. If the rookie sixth-rounder is good to go, he still likely won't see a lot of playing time behind Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson.

  • Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Included on Week 5 injury report

Dotson was estimated as a limited participant for Monday's walkthrough due to an ankle injury.

Dotson may have sustained the injury at some point during Washington's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles on Sunday, when he played 53 snaps on offense and logged a 4-27-1 receiving line on nine targets. With the Commanders facing a quick turnaround Week 5 with a Thursday night matchup with the Bears, Dotson's activity level will be worth tracking Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Commanders' Curtis Samuel: Sits out walkthrough

Samuel was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report with a quadriceps injury.

Samuel might have picked up the injury in the Commanders' 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles on Sunday, when he played 52 snaps on offense and finished with seven catches for 51 yards and a one-yard touchdown run. The Commanders held a walkthrough Monday, so Samuel's activity level Tuesday and Wednesday will be more telling with regard to his status for Thursday's game against the Bears.

  • Commanders' Joey Slye: Stays busy Sunday

Slye made all four of his extra-point tries and connected on his lone field-goal attempt in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles.

Slye's only FGA came from 27 yards out in the second quarter, while the Commanders' four touchdowns kept him returning to the field. The veteran kicker is now 9-of-9 on PATs on the season while improving to 6-for-8 on field-goal attempts. His next kicking opportunities will come Thursday against the Bears.

  • Commanders' Curtis Samuel: Gets into end zone against Philly

Samuel caught seven of eight targets for 51 yards and scored a one-yard touchdown on his lone carry in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles.

The grabs and targets were season highs for Samuel, but his first score of the year came on a jet sweep at the goal line in the first quarter. Samuel has been a steady contributor in the Washington passing game so far, topping 50 receiving yards in three of four games, and he stands a good chance of being productive again in Week 5 against the Bears.

  • Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Catches clutch TD in OT loss

Dotson caught four of nine targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles.

The second-year wideout continued his early-season struggles into the second half, but Dotson came up big when it mattered most, getting free in the end zone and catching a 10-yard TD strike from Sam Howell as time expired to force the extra quarter. It's his first score of 2023 after Dotson racked up seven touchdowns in 12 games as a rookie, and he could add to that total in Week 5 against a Bears defense that just gave up three passing TDs to the Broncos while blowing a big fourth-quarter lead.

  • Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Busy in OT loss to Philly

McLaurin caught eight of 10 targets for 86 yards in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles.

The fifth-year wideout was Sam Howell's favorite target early, but the Philadelphia secondary was able to mostly contain McLaurin in the second half. The receptions and yardage led Washington and were both season highs for the 28-year-old, giving McLaurin plenty of momentum heading into a Week 5 tilt against a hapless Bears defense.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Finds end zone in OT loss

Robinson carried the ball 14 times for 45 yards and a touchdown and caught both his targets for six yards in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles.

The running back found paydirt midway through the fourth quarter on a 15-yard run, tying the game at 24-24 and setting up a wild finish. The yardage was Robinson's lowest in four games so far this season, but he's scored four TDs along the way to maintain strong fantasy value. He could be poised for an even bigger performance in Week 5 against a Bears defense that was just gashed for over 100 scrimmage yards and a touchdown by Denver rookie RB Jaleel McLaughlin.

  • Commanders' Sam Howell: Impresses in OT loss to Philly

Howell completed 29 of 41 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles. He added 40 rushing yards on six carries.

After a brutal four-INT performance the week before against the Bills, Howell was much sharper in Week 4 and led two fourth-quarter touchdown drives to tie the game twice, ending the second one with a 10-yard TD strike to Jahan Dotson as time expired. Howell will take plenty of confidence into a Week 5 home tilt against a Bears defense that just blew a 21-7 halftime lead against the Broncos.

  • Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Back in Sunday's game

Dotson (ankle) returned to Sunday's contest at Philadelphia, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Dotson left for a spell of Week 4 action spanning the end of the third and start of the fourth quarters, but he'll attempt to gut out the ankle injury that forced the brief time away from the field. He'll look to build upon his two catches (on six targets) for 12 yards.

  • Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Suffers ankle injury Sunday

Dotson departed Sunday's game in Philadelphia due to an ankle injury, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Dotson had just two catches (on six targets) for 12 yards at the time of his exit late in the third quarter. As long as Dotson is sidelined, Curtis Samuel, Dyami Brown, Byron Pringle and Jamison Crowder are the healthy and available wide receivers behind the Commanders' top option Terry McLaurin.

  • Commanders' Jartavius Martin: Back in action

Martin (thumb) has returned to Sunday's game against the Eagles, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

Martin suffered the injury in the first half, but he returned for the second. He should continue chipping in on special teams and be a depth option in the Commanders secondary.

  • Commanders' Jartavius Martin: Exits due to injury

Martin has left Sunday's game against the Eagles early with a thumb injury.

Martin had one tackle before exiting. With his work primarily coming on special teams, his absence shouldn't impact the team's secondary while he is out.
