Nash signed a two-year deal with the Rangers on Saturday. Nash spent the entirety of the 2022-23 campaign in the minors with AHL Charlotte. For the Checkers, the veteran notched 24 goals and 35 assists, adding another five points in seven postseason contests. Nash figures to slot into a bottom-six role for the Blueshirts and could still find himself playing in the minors periodically despite being on a one-way deal for year one.... See More ... See Less

Lightning's Riley Nash: In lineup for Game 3
Nash will enter the lineup Sunday against the Rangers, per Dan Rosen of NHL.com. Nash will likely join Tampa's fourth line alongside Patrick Maroon and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare. The 33-year-old forward has yet to appear in a postseason game after posting four assists and no goals in 49 regular-season contests.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Riley Nash: Receives promotion
Nash was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Saturday. Brayden Point missed the final game of the regular season, so Nash will presumably be on hand as an insurance policy for Game 1 of the Lightning's first-round matchup with Toronto. Nash has gone scoreless through 10 appearances with Tampa Bay this season.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Riley Nash: Sent to Lightning
Nash was traded to the Lightning by the Coyotes on Monday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports. In addition, Nash will be assigned to AHL Syracuse. This will be Nash's second stint of the season in Tampa Bay. He started the season in Winnipeg, then bounced around to Tampa Bay and Arizona on waivers. The Lightning were evidently impressed with the veteran forward during his stint with the team, as Tampa Bay has reacquired Nash. He'll likely provide organizational depth in a part-time role down the stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: In lineup Sunday
Nash is on the active roster and playing Sunday against San Jose. Despite reportedly being waived Sunday, Nash will suit up in a second-line role. The veteran center has four points in 23 games with Arizona, including two over his last five appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Hits waivers
Nash was placed on waivers Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Nash has just four assists in 48 combined games with Arizona, Tampa Bay and Winnipeg this season. The veteran forward could be claimed off waivers for the third time this season just before Monday's trade deadline.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Nabs assist Tuesday
Nash logged an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Canadiens. Nash was listed on the second line Tuesday, though his 13:24 of ice time was in line with a bottom-six role. He's picked up two assists in his last four games, and he's played in five straight contests after regularly being a healthy scratch in the last month. The center has four helpers, 35 shots on net, 42 hits and a minus-5 rating in 47 appearances this season, so he's unlikely to be a factor in fantasy.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Ends scoreless run
Nash notched an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Maple Leafs. Nash earned his first point since Jan. 22 with an assist on Alex Galchenyuk's opening tally. In that span, Nash went 10 games without a point and served as a healthy scratch six times. All three of his assists have come in 19 games with the Coyotes, though he also split 25 contests between the Jets and the Lightning. The 32-year-old has added 34 shots on net, 38 hits and a minus-5 rating across all his stops in the league this season.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Drops to part-time role
Nash has played in just three of the Coyotes' last eight games. The return of Barrett Hayton on Feb. 18 after a nearly six-week absence has cut into Nash's playing time. It doesn't help that Nash is mired in a nine-game point drought. He could see more time if the Coyotes ship out some forwards ahead of the March 21 trade deadline, though it's also possible he could be one of the players on the move. He's logged just two assists with 34 shots on net, 36 hits and a minus-7 rating in 42 games between the Coyotes, Lightning and Jets this season.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Slides helper
Nash chipped in an assist in a 7-3 loss to the Rangers on Saturday. Nash helped out on Andrew Ladd's first period goal, giving Arizona a soon-to-diminish lead in this one. The 32-year-old has more points with 2 in eight games than he had in 25 games this season in Winnipeg and Tampa Bay.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Earns assist in team debut
Nash logged an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Predators. Nash's first game as a Coyote saw him help out on a Lawson Crouse tally in the third period. The 32-year-old Nash went without a point in 25 contests between the Jets and the Lightning before breaking through his third team this season. The defensive center has added 18 shots on net, 21 hits, six PIM and a minus-1 rating. While he'll likely play in a bottom-six role for the Coyotes, Nash should be a fairly regular presence in the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Coyotes' Riley Nash: Claimed by Arizona
Nash was claimed by the Coyotes from the Lightning off waivers Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Nash has gone scoreless through 25 games split between the Jets and the Lightning this season, so don't expect him to start putting up points in Arizona. The 32-year-old forward could make his Coyotes debut as soon as Saturday versus Boston.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Riley Nash: Waived by Lightning
The Lightning placed Nash on waivers Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Nash has gone pointless in 10 games with the Lightning after being claimed off waivers Dec. 7. He didn't score in Winnipeg, either, and his complete lack of production suggests he may go unclaimed this time around.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Riley Nash: Claimed off waivers
Nash was picked up off waivers by Tampa Bay from Winnipeg on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Nash was a healthy scratch for the team's previous five outings, so it wasn't a shock to see him wind up on waivers. The Lightning are dealing with injuries to Brayden Point (upper body), Gemel Smith (lower body) and Nikita Kucherov (lower body) and could certainly use some added forward depth with NHL experience.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Riley Nash: Placed on waivers
Nash was waived by the Jets on Monday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports. Assuming Nash clears, he'll be reassigned to AHL Manitoba after serving as a healthy scratch for the club's last five games. On the year, the 32-year-old winger has yet to pick up a point in 15 games while averaging a meager 8:49 of ice time.... See More ... See Less -
Jets' Riley Nash: Lands in Winnipeg
Nash signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Jets on Saturday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports. Nash is an astute signing for the Jets, as he'll provide a steadying veteran presence in the bottom six at an affordable price. The 32-year-old center will likely slide in on the fourth line when Winnipeg's healthy down the middle.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Riley Nash: Will sit out Game 2 on Saturday
Nash will sit out Saturday's Game 2 against Montreal as a healthy scratch, reports TSN.ca. Nash debuted for the Leafs on Thursday after being sidelined with a knee sprain since April 4. "I thought he was fine," coach Sheldon Keefe said Friday. "We had five penalties to kill so I was glad we had him on our bench. He did a good job for us, but with John coming out of the lineup, it changes the dynamic of our forward group."... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Riley Nash: Returning Thursday
Nash (knee) will make his Leafs debut against Montreal on Thursday, Jonas Siegel of The Athletic reports. Additionally, the center has been activated off IR, per the NHL media site. Nash was brought in by Toronto at the trade deadline despite his knee injury and was unable to get onto the ice during the regular season. The 32-year-old forward should slot into a third-line role, which will give the club perhaps one of the deepest center groups in the league. Nash last played April 4 versus the Panthers and was bogged down in a 14-game goal drought when he was injured, so he will certainly be eager to put one into the netting as soon as possible.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Riley Nash: Full practice participant Sunday
Nash (knee) centered the third line at practice Sunday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports. He will make his Maple Leafs debut in Game 1 against Montreal on Thursday, adds Mark Masters of TSN. Nash remains on long-term injured reserve after having missed the last 18 games of the season, but he's ready to return for the postseason. Interested fantasy managers should wait for his formal activation from IR before rolling with him on their virtual squads.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Riley Nash: Not playing Friday
Nash (knee) is not in Friday's lineup against Winnipeg, per NHL.com. Nash has been back on the ice but isn't ready for game action just yet. He'll have about a week before Toronto begins a playoff series against Montreal on May 20. Nash finished the 2020-21 campaign with seven points in 37 games but has yet to make his first appearance as a Maple Leaf.... See More ... See Less
